The black castor eco styler gives me horrible flakes and build up by day 2😥😫 but ......... I love it!! It makes my curls pop like no other and they last. So it's a love/hate relationship.

Eco is acting like SM, coming out with new gels every time we turn around. How about trying it again with a leave-in? It may reduce/elimate flaking. I hate the Eco Flaxseed b/c it flake like crazy; so I used it to lay my edges, but after a week or so, it broke me out (never had that to happen with any hair product). Thanks for sharing.

I used the ampro styler curl enhancer. My only issues with that, is that the smell is really strong and that for my curl pattern, it has zero hold. It makes my hair feel so soft but it's a little sticky. So I'm saving it for winter

Curl activator sounds like it is supposed to be used for moisture like you would use activator when you had a jerry curl. I think it's possible it shouldn't be used like gel for styling. Just a thought.

I just had to hit that subscribe button before l even went deep in the video. Believe u me, you are full of personality, so hilarious! Truth and in fact l was very much rooting for this Eco Styler Gel because it says natural conditioning but when you said that you had a lot of flakes l knew immediately that this would not work for my hair any at all because l do have a dandruff problem! If this product is mixed with other products can you imagine the amount of build up? It's a good thing you never used it with a leave in conditioner and just used it by itself! The only thing l liked about this product is that your curls was popping and your hair does look soft and movable to me! Thanks for sharing. I definitely won't be buying this!

It's possible that it will work better and not flake on clarified hair. A product maker and youtuber that I used to watch said that it was important to clarify the hair when trying out new gels. Not sure but it's worth a try as it went on really well, etc. Lol @ Tyra---I remember that episode!!

So would you say this is more suited for winter wash and go's than spring/summer with the humectants? Do you think using an oil or leaven wld have prevented the flaking and or sticky feeling? Wondering if you played with a couple times would you change your thoughts.

Deadra Rahaman typically humectants are better to be used in the summer especially if you live in a more warm tropical type of climate like in the south. The reason being is because it will draw moisture from your hair from the atmosphere. If you use it in the winter & it will draw moisture from your actual hair outward into the atmosphere which will leave you with chronically dry hair. But for some people their hair fares well no matter when you use it.
