lol I have noticed the days of the wash and go seem to be fading and being replaced with the new braids and beads trend. I like the trend, but MY WASH AND GO IS HERE TO STAY lol See, in my opinion, the jbco one isn't all that moisturizing at all. the JBCO has tons of hold for me and about a 3/5 for moisture. This one gets a 4.2/5 for moisture from me!

The only thing i hate about eco styler is that i cant use a heavier cream with it... you have to use a light leave in... and as long as eco wash n goes last light leave ins dont do it for me! Agreed!! I have 3c/4a low porosity hair. The only gel that has worked for me is KCCC until now! I saw this video and picked it up right away. The results are phenomenal!

Alright cousin I had to try it out after your video. First, the definition is amazing even after four days and some fro-ness happening my curls were still poppin. The only thing I had a problem with is it left my hair dry ( like a tumbleweed) although both my daughter and my bestie said my hair was really soft. It didn’t feel real and that could be because I tried it on naked hair only no leave in or curl styler. I’m trying it again with a leave in to see if there is a difference. As of now it’s very moisturized and soft. Keeping fingers crossed.

I may give this a shot. I'm loving the pink Ecostyler for curls and waves. My hair feels moisturized between it and a light leave in. I don't get buildup from it as quickly as the argon and olive oil versions.

Thanks for reminding me that I have this gel!! I ordered this online a couple months ago but after ordering the Olive Oil version, I was sent the Aloe Vera version by accident (they refunded my money but let me keep the product). I put it in my cabinet and forgot about it. I'm definitely pulling this out for my next wash day. BTW I'd seen reviews on this gel and went for the Olive Oil version since some said it was more moisturizing than the Aloe Vera version.

I tried it when it came out around the same time when the black castor and flaxseed was getting all the hype and I do like it, but the Jane Carter, the BCF Eco gel, and CRN lavender came out and crushed that, lol. My two fav low cost gels are Long Aid Curl Activator, and Wetline Extreme. I wonder if the Eco Curl Activator is similar to the Long Aid Curl Activator. I get lots of moisture and no crunch with the Long Aid gel.

Hi vicki, I apply a leave-in or hair milk after I cleanse and deep condition, then I apply the gel. The leave-in or hair milk just depends on what I have available. The leave-ins I usually use are either As I am, Kinky Curly, Deva Curl, or Soultanical. The hair milks are Shea Moisture, Mielle Organics, As I Am, or Camille Rose.

When one doesn't work for me I pass it on to someone I know or donate it, because I'm just not going to use something that doesn't work for me. I always though that aloe Vera closes hair cuticle strand on low porosity hair.

I've never heard this, but even if it does. By the time you get to the gel portion of your wash day, your cuticles should have already been closed to seal in whatever moisture you put in your hair to moisturize it. Your stands eventually need to be closed to seal in moisture. So if Alove Vera gel is your last step and it closes your strands, then you're fine.

Azurewinged I use curl activator gel on my natural hair sometimes and my hair doesn't stay wet or get sticky. I like the Smooth and Shine activator one but a lot of people I know like Long Aid. think they either changed the formula from back in day or it's different on natural hair.

I agree with Teesha. I had no "balls", flakes, or build up from it at all. But when I tested the consistency before using, I knew that it would be a product that could get sticky if used with the wrong thing. So instead of using my normal go-to, I opted for a light weight product that would soak into my hair faster.
