Londy Cox dyes colour the hair that is outside the scalp. Your new hair will be grey as it grows. How quickly you see new grey hairs appear depends on your individual hair growth rate.

It has coloured your hair but thined out your hairline.. This also happens to me when I use Bigen. Your hairline was full before the dye 😂

Oh Pamela! I have watched a couple of your videos and you really do seem keen to improve the condition of your hair. There is a ‘but’ unfortunately. I really wish you would take the time to properly research how to care for your hair. You seem to go from one thing to another. I watched you video where you were taking out your box braids, saying that as you are getting older, you don’t think your hair is strong enough. Then I have also seen several videos of you putting these chemical dyes in your hair. Without an effective hair care regimen your hair will continue to thin and break with these. It doesn’t have as much to do with age as it does to do with care. It is kind of saddening to watch you so upset when you have setbacks, only to watch you do these things to your hair, especially when there is now so much information available on how to properly take care of black hair. 😔😞😔

Yes I did think that way at first, I thought it had something to do with age. I have had thin hair for a very long time. I really need to use hair dye to cover my grays. I will do some researching on how to take better care of my hair. Thank you so much. I do go back and forth with my hair. Please help if you have any more tips on how to take better care of this black natural hair. Reply ·

Happydimples39 first off you need to ditch the chemical dye. Henna and indigo is your answer. Henna has amazing strengthening and conditioning properties other than the dye properties. Now, I know from your videos you have done it before, but even then your mixtures and application weren’t quite right. There really is NO reason to be doing henna and indigo for 2 DAYS 😳. This is unnecessary. I have been using henna on my hair for years now for strengthening, conditioning and now for colouring my greys, but can process my hair from start to finish in about 4-5 hours minimum in total now, if I am short for time. The overall results are more than worth it. I do a full henna treatment every 4 weeks. I use henna mixed into a deep conditioner, when I wash my hair the weeks in between. I wash my hair weekly. I have replaced hair grease with a natural oil mix. Oil is not a moisturiser, but a sealant for moisturising products. Scalp care is also very important. You also need a regular wash and moisturising routine, especially when you are “protective styling”. Find a range of products you like and stick with them. It’s all about consistency. It seems popular to refer to hair fall of any type as “shedding” these days, but what I saw in your braid take down video was “breakage”. From my experience that was from a lack of moisture, when your hair was in braids for such a long time. If you are not caring for your hair when it is in a long term style, you are not really protecting it at all, you’re just styling it and your actual hair is being neglected. Afro hair needs to be moisturised and your scalp clean and balanced for it to thrive. You should also deep condition regularly, as it will make such a difference. You need to be moisturising and sealing your hair properly, as it always appears so dry. I follow all that I have told you for not only my own hair, but the hair of others that I take care of and we have all seen positive results from our varying hair types. Remember as long as you are reasonably healthy, your hair is always growing. The reason you are not seeing length is because your hair is breaking off at the ends. You can see that from the grey new growth at the roots. I hope this helps. Btw my name is also Pamela 😉

WOW ok Pamela, Thank you so much. I will be ordering Henna and indigo soon. thanks for the tips, it really helps a lot. ❤️🌹

Happydimples39 you are so welcome. I mix my henna with a mixture of half aloe Vera juice and water. If you add oil to the mix it doesn’t process as well. Leave it for 6-8 hours. Apply it to your hair and let it sit for about 2-3 hours (or a little more if you have time). All you need to add to the indigo is water. After you wash the henna out of your hair, mix the indigo and use it STRAIGHT AWAY. It processes when it is actually on your hair. Leave that for about an hour minimum, maybe 2 if you have time and want to ensure it has taken. ALWAYS follow this up with a moisturising deep conditioner directly after washing the indigo out. You can cover your hair with a plastic cap and sit under a hooded dryer if you have one. After rinsing, add a leave-in conditioner and or a moisturiser. You can then OIL your scalp and also the hair to seal in the moisture. Be VERY GENTLE with your hair through this entire process. DO NOT use that rat tail comb to comb your hair. Your hair is fine, sparse and short. You can finger detangle that easily. If you really feel the need to use a hair tool, get a Tangle Teezer brush (I wouldn’t be without my Ultimate one). The reason you keep asking about reducing your shedding is because you are actually over manipulating your hair when it is so fragile and it is actually BREAKING. I know I have given you long replies, but I really feel for you and want to help. Please let me know how it goes. 😘

@Consciously Natural I agree with you. Pamela is such a lovely lady. I think it would be better if she let a professional take care of her hair.
