The thing I love about party city is the nostalogia for me. I used to always get so excited to go and pick out my costume. We lived in a small town and that was pretty much the only place to go for Halloween.

We had a party city knock off that got run out of town by them when I was a kid. Shame. I loved that place. They did a mini haunted house in the store!

Kids love the fog bubbles. Put it outside fer sure and where it won't make the ground slippery. I put mine out by the road.

Like the gold skeleton, the black skeleton could also be used in a Star Wars scene, one involving Luke’s uncle and aunt. 😜 Or any kind of burn victim, maybe in a hell themed display. They might also look good against a white or green background with blacklight on it.

I think trunk or treat is aimed more towards smaller children that can’t quite walk as far as in a neighborhood, we get a little over a hundred kids but usually older than 6.

Had a nubble fogger a few years back and it unfortunately only lasted 1 season. The kids DO love the smoke effect but it makes a total mess unless your bubbles are hitting grass. But again the smoke inside bubbles looks amazing if you have a large open space where kids can chase them without slipping.

Party City used to have really cool latex monsters back in 2002. We have a place called The Halloween Club in Southern California which had the greatest props but way way over priced. Tons of amazing latex creatures but latex does not stand the test of time unfortunately. It's way more realistic looking than plastic but it does rot for some reason. It's a real shame. The real secret in decorating for Halloween is the fact that in the night, it's too dark to notice imperfections in your decorations. Then, with the right kind of lighting you can make the most cheap crap look incredible. Another thing I've noticed about these DIY Halloween tips is most of it is centered on visuals when sound is so incredibly important to the mood and setting.

I love Party City for never dropping some of the old school classic merchandise, like the vintage wallpaper decor and such and even sticking with the intense gore that Spirit has since gotten soft on… but their pre-order fiasco has been really headache this year, and they know it too. Been waiting on Cthulhu since his announcement in June, and we’re looking at a release date going well into October, along with essentially the entire rest of their line up. Really sad to see.

Oooh, I’d be leery about decorating around a prop I wasn’t sure was going to make it.

Can confirm baby spiders on mom spider’s back. On my back porch I saw a “bumpy” spider, my dog went to investigate and the babies scattered so quickly, by brain took a second to register. Keep us updated on your spider situation if they come back! Edit apparently part of my last edit was deleted. 🙄🤦🏼♀️ anyway Joro spiders are a lot like the Banana Spiders we have in C Florida. Very cool!

I agree about the hanging decor. Seems the same vendor.... Maybe since Haunted Hill Farms stopped direct online sales and only sells to retail now. I see a LOT of their stuff in HD, Lowes, Joann's, Micheal's, Oriental, etc. They even have a store front on Amazon... With higher prices of course. I used to buy a lot of the Party City tombstones and glue them onto larger plain foam tombstones to save on carving time and as cheap background fill ins.

Shame they didn't have all the animatronics out! Missed opportunity for sure. This is the place if you want gory stuff lol. Those bloody knife and weapons garland I bought 15 years ago! Party city is closing a lot of stores they're pretty much bankrupt and animatronics are too expensive for party City because their sales are way down! And true Halloween enthusiasts don't do party city like they used to back in the 80's and 90's! Party City used to buy props from me back in those days
