Yes, it’s good. But if you want to pursue your career in academic institutions you need to do DNB or MD family medicine. After Diploma you can do secondary DNB

Not at all… it’s mostly because of lack of awareness regarding this discipline. What you see and study in UG curriculum in multiple silos as multiple subjects, here you will get to learn in more integrated way with more depth. Yes, you will have to learn it all but in context of individual, family and community.. it’s more practical and really helpful when you start practising it.

@@diveshbharadwaj7973 I can tell you from my experience that once you start practicing.. there isn't any competition actually for a good family doctor in any city. People are searching for good family physicians who can take care of kids elders female members and give them a sound advice for any issue. You will be the point of first contact and you will decide whom to refer and whom to treat. For all these you need knowledge, skills and good communication. I believe during your residency you will learn these in detail.

Not at all.. family medicine provides you skill and expertise in providing comprehensive care. In internship you learn things in parts here you have to see a complete picture in context of community, disease epidemiology, family history etc.
