Also, he’s a voiceover - not a producer, he’s not gonna be told if it’s scripted or not, he’s just one of the talents they hire, as soon as his contract with them was up he’d then be able to say if it’s scripted and they wouldn’t be able to do anything, so why would they tell him? And if it was the case he knew, he’d be under NDA so legally he WOULDN'T be able to say

Main reason they avoid showing eating is cos chewing sounds awful on mic. Also a reason most tv shows don't allow gum. Earlier seasons of LI would show group meals more, but now they have communal meals off camera. Except breakfast and some snacks. I heard they separate boys & girls to avoid drama happening off camera. Ditto the days off, though I heard they don't have full days off anymore. Maybe a half day. And not sure if they can go out at all on their day off due to COVID. Whereas S3 at least talked about going to the beach with chaperones on their days off.
