I was in a relationsip at 19 with someone who lied to me about alot. Even their age. The relationship got so bad it too me a 6 months to leave and i was stalked after. For a year of being with them we lived close. We went out every weekend. I started drinking at clubs, then heavily drinking (around 8 shots minimum before the night even started) then i started drinking heavily at resturants and parties and after that i noticed i was drinking every day at home and putting alcohol in my drinks for work and university. I woke up almost everyday hungover and didnt realise until I stopped. Even after i left i was still drinking daily from the constant harrasment. I didnt notice how much i drank until i found a draw with my habit in it. I keep things to diy them into new items and in front of me was a bed side dresser full of bottle caps. Now i dont drink except for a taste of something i like. Never more than 1 in an evening. And never more than 1 in a week. I made the rules to keep me mentally checked because i didnt realize how far i fell until i was dangling off the cliff. Its nice hearing someone with a platform talk about how alcohol can cause an effect before you even realize it.
