I think they replaced the buttons in them glass lifts because they got burnt out. I remember going to Dundrum around 2013/14, and I remember touching the buttons in them lifts and they were very hot to the touch, probably due to so many people using them lifts.

I think they were replaced because I think they were vandalised in 2016 and got replaced. I'm not sure though
