True Shih Tzu dogs are bred with Lhasa n Pekingese. A true Shih Tzu has a short (pushed-in) nose.

Lhasa-Apso’s and Shih-Tzu’s are similar but as someone who had had both I can say that this is a Lhasa. Shin-Tzu’s are smaller with shorter noses and more bulbous eyes. 😀

Just had too much pain and also was not eating most of the time. It was so hard to loose her!! They are really your baby😂 so much fun 🤣🤣

Is it me?...or does that look like a Shih Tzu??....because i have one...he is all cream color with some hints of Tan on the ears...around the eyes......and on the back......or maybe I should have his DNA tested.....I found him a couple of months ago....upon looking at him the Vet told me he was a Shih Tzu....

I’ve had 3 Lhasa Apsos and that is not a Lhasa. I think this puppy is a Shih Tzu (or a mix). Lhasa’s breed standard calls for a longer nose and almond shaped eyes. Shih Tzus have round eyes and a shorter nose since they were developed by breeding Lhasa Apsos (or another common Tibetan ancestor) to a Chinese dog (Pekingese or Pug) to get the eyes and nose they have today.
