Best Budgies! I don't think the dyed sticks are good for them and beads are fine as long as they can't eat or swallow them

For budgies buy regular popsicle sticks the ones that are just wood and arent dyed

the colored sticks are not safe but you can easily dye plain ones with food coloring since that is safe for birds

This is a late post but just use the regular popsicle sticks and always boil them before giving to a pet so they aren’t as sharp.

xXAlexaWolf TuberXx yeah I did my research and it turns out the high expensive stuff are more likely gonna be toxic now I’m not saying buy the cheap ones no I’m saying buy the organic ones if your using them for birds also on the box if it says 100% safe for kids age 3 and up aren’t gonna be toxic

It Amazes Me That You Care For These Animals So Much. Lots of Pet Owners Do Not Have What It Takes To Care For So Many Animals. Owning Animals Can Be Tough But You Do So Great At It. Very Many People Have Birds And This Video Will Make It Easier For Them To Design *ADORABLE* Toys. Everyone With A Bird / Birds Will Know That They Need Toys, Perches And Other Stuff Like That. You Can are For All Of Your Pets Needs In One Day? That's Alot Of Work And You're Commited. Obviously You Love All Of Your Pets Dearly, Just Like A Mother And Her Kids. Unfortunately I Don't Have Animals Yet, But Me And My Family Are Working On Building A Farm. Magically You Home All Of These animals And Give Them Amazing Lives. Entertainment Is Also Hard To Fit Into A Pet's Life, You Do Great At It Though. Generally I Don't Write Comments This Long But I'll Make I Just Did So Too late. First Letters on each line! :D

This has been VERY helpful. My 4 budgies LOVE to shred corn husks. Is best thing to put on toys. I also made them a preening toy for them to preen and/or pull out the paper. They also really like to chew at paper and cardboard but their favorite material is corn husk

@@araibirshad8294 DON'T talk to them the first week. I mean at all. But then after that week you can start to say hi and bye when you enter and leave the room. After a week of that, feed them treats through the bars. If they're afraid if your hand, offer it on a spoon. After another week, let them out of the cage. The area MUST be bird safe. They'll probably like you more if you do this SLOW. Don't speed up the process for the sake of "wanting them tame fast". It will make them lose trust in you. This applies to all parrots. If you reply with "budgies aren't parrots" you probably shouldn't have a budgie. If you don't even know what group they are, I mean. I'm not rude, just testing you. A good parrot owner should have spent A LOT of time researching on their parrot.

I like all of these great interactive toys, I was thinking of making a few for my rats, they love toys that they can take apart and use for nesting material. This way they can have fun playing with the toy and when there done use it to make a comfy nest.

I love your creations. Where do you get your colored popsicle sticks that are safely colored for parrots? Or are they safe regardless? How about the tissue paper. Is it all safe for them to chew on ? Or do you have to order it somewhere special. I have 4 parakeets and have made many of their toys but I buy their shred toys because I'm not sure if it is safe to use regular construction paper and tissue paper that was colored. I also buy one that my birds love that looks like it's made from paper egg cartons. It's their favorite. Can I use just regular brown egg cartons cut up or is it something special. I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm getting a baby Quaker in about 2 wks and need to make toys for her cage but I'm not sure about the dyes in all the papers.

puppy5540 I think that's the point :) I would just make a few different ones, and put them all in with him/her, that should keep him entertained for a bit, especially ones made of wood. Hope this helps a little. Maybe Meghan has some more videos to refer to also.

Hi Meghan, I'm thinking that all of your items can also be used for bunny, and hamster diy's too, is that right? You did a great job, and I bet all of your parrots are really going to enjoy them ;) When I made my hamsters house from popsicle sticks, I used gel icing coloring with water to paint, it came out really nice (my video is coming up shortly) I have a Syrian so I wasn't too concerned with sugar, plus he's not much of a chewer, especially in his old age. Oh, I've been trying to find a good app to animate my kids like you have in your intro, would you mind sharing yours with me? Would sure appreciate it.
