Awesome guide, loved every aspect of the video. We are going in march next year and I'm happy I found almost everything I need for the day trip from Kyoto in this video.

I visited Wakayama on a day trip from Osaka during Sakura season. The courtyard of Wakayama Castle was full of people having a hanami, and it was so fun to see all of the vendors and music outside of the castle. I understand that Wakayama is less traveled by Americans (and foreigners in general), but it is absolutely worth a stop if you're basing out of Osaka/Nara/Kyoto.

Great to know as I am looking for places to visit in Japan that are not frequented by tourists.

Thank you for the informative video. Helpful for my trip early Dec. Are the buses frequent if we want to follow this itinerary, especially during winter?

Buses don't run as frequent compared to bigger cities like Osaka and Kyoto. There were times when I had to wait 20 minutes at the bus stop. Might be an ordeal during winter. Although, I loved the fact that there weren't many tourists.
