Oh, Jeremy, I will view this one again and again. What a sacred and enchanted place.

I remember travelling to the waterfalls alone back in 2019 and I was full of negative emotions and thoughts due to life circumstances while climbing up all the steps of the Daimonzaka. However once I saw the falls from the pagoda, I was just blown away by the amazing view. It helps that this area does not have too many tourists so I could take as long as I needed to admire the waterfall in silence. Without a doubt, this became a standout moment of my trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to make the journey. Thank you for making this great video featuring the falls, it brought back the best memories of my trip!

Wow what an amazing place with an awesome waterfall as well! Great vlog and getting there seemed easy as long as you could figure out the bus to take.
@T1DWanderer Жыл бұрын
Thanks again! I always feel that buses are underutilized in Japan... there are blank spots on the map where no trains go, but the bus networks are actually quite impressive (just harder to find quick info about)

Thanks for sharing this trip! I love waterfalls and I hope to visit this place someday. Could you do this as a day trip from Kyoto or Osaka and come back?
@T1DWanderer Жыл бұрын
That would be a tall order. Perhaps technically possible, but that's a lot of rushing around. You'd probably leave very early and get back very late, especially Kyoto, and would have to limit your time at Nachi

Hello there, great video!! Could you tell how much time it took for you to cover all these places? We are planning a trip soon, this info will help us plan better. Thanks much!
@T1DWanderer5 ай бұрын
Thanks. The falls are quite a ways away from cities like Osaka or Kyoto. It seems on a map like you can do it in a day but that would be brutal. I'd give it 2-3 days because there's lots to see around there

In what month is the best dates to go there?

I would say anytime has its charms, though summer would be hot and humid. Personally I'd avoid that

❤ the smorking area.
@T1DWanderer Жыл бұрын
Heh, there is a good reason for that in Japan! You'd generally render the words, for example, "cork" and "coke" the same in Japanese katakana (closer to "coke", ignoring the "r"). So when they try to go from the Japanese that sounds like "smoke" (スモーク) back to English, they aren't always sure which one it's supposed to be. (Don't know why they don't just ask an English speaker or look it up, but oh well...!)

@@T1DWanderer interesting! My husband studies more languages than I do- comments on similar things. I find them fun , and suppose it’s expensive to replace signs once mistakes get noticed.

How to go there in a day trip?
@T1DWanderer9 ай бұрын
It would be difficult, because it's a long train ride and then a bus ride If you started really early in, say, Osaka, it might be possible. It would mostly depend on the bus schedules
