You never ever have your tracks perpendicular to a slope. Always have them pointing down the slope.

You need to lay down a set of tracks out of h beam, it would take 4 peices of 20 foot .layed in the bank weld some spacers out pipe between them to keep them the same width run right into to the river when it is low. The let the wheels follow the tracks the beams form and winch it into the river. The winch the track back the hill out of the river incase it flows and not wash them away. If you own down to river bank you could cut the bank back some so there was not such a steep drop in the river

I understand the purpose and the reasoning behind the Riverscreen, but I swear I believe I'd just have to drill a well. That's a long hard, dangerous process, twice a year. Putting it in, setting everything up, and then breaking everything down and getting it back out again.
