The organisers of London did a very good job. Great speeches from the farmers involved. Potentially up to 40 thousand there which I can believe as we walked the length of the crowd as we left a little early. Thankfully most of the hot heads with big egos strayed away or were hugely outnumbered.

Good to hear your thought on time cattle spend from farm to hook To many animals spend to long a time from farm to hook

Thank Phil for cutting top off hedge, i could see the Herefords today as i passed😂. As ever great video, all companies supplying farms will feel the knock on of this loony labour bullshit.

Years ago I worked on a farm and we use to take half a dozen lambs to the Slaughter House on a Sunday evening ready for 1st kill Monday morning. Thinking back now how cruel was that. ☹️

It will be interesting to see the carcass weights ! I recon your Heraford heifers will be closer to 280 kgs than 300

Personally Richard i think there will always be investors waiting to buy land, and put it into something other than agriculture.

Looks like they had a great day in London yesterday. I’m a bit on the fence with this tax though, if they raise the threshold so the small and medium farms aren’t taxed then I can see it getting rid of the Dyson type land owners and free up some land as well as dropping the land price 🤷♂
@Phil-dovefarmsАй бұрын
Yes I agree but I think it would have to be around 10 million to create growth and investment 👍
@casto-Ай бұрын
@@Phil-dovefarms yeah you’re probably right Phil. I know it’s won’t be great news for everyone but I’m starting to think the industry really is on breaking point with this and everything else😩🤦♂

My mother used to tell the local butcher off if he didn't slap a big chunk of fat on the beef joint, now when you go to these supermarkets all the fat has been taken off and it doesn't taste the same.
@nicklewis1475Ай бұрын
Land price will drop, second hand machinery will rocket as no one will be able to get finance for new kit, because their land price won't be worth anything for security! It's a shower of shite, along with all the other tax increases!! 😢

Any good cook will tell you fat = flavour and happy cattle will always put a bit more on.
