Harajuku Decora Tutorial & Kawaii Artwork in Tokyo

See the 2016 Harajuku decora meetup, watch a tutorial on how to do your own cute decora hairstyle, and meet a kawaii Tokyo-based artist.
Every year, girls and boys in Japan's decora subculture hold a meetup in Harajuku. Decora gather in Harajuku and walk around together, maybe have lunch, and just enjoy the colorful fun that is decora fashion. Rikarin attended the most recent Harajuku Decora Meetup and shot some video to share with you. Rikarin also filmed herself preparing for the Harajuku Decora Meetup to show you how she does her own decora hairstyle. Hopefully you'll find the tutorial helpful!
Finally, Rikarin went to the art exhibition of one of her good Harajuku friends, Ene. In addition to checking out Ene's kawaii artworks, Rikarin talked to Ene about why she creates these cute artworks.

You can paint the side of a hair pin (or Bobby pin) with bright nail polish or glitter nail polish to add more color to your look. They're great because they are not heavy

I think that's an interesting idea! like inviting groups of representatives of each styles to introduce their style. imagine seeing a group of decora and lolita (and other styles too) standing side by side, that would be so cute and fun!

Those furry knee-high things you didn’t know the word for are called “leg warmers” in the US, they were very popular during the 80’s and also with kids who were into Scene fashion in the 2000’s. I used to have a furry pair like yours but I gave them away years ago cause I never wore them 😫 now I wish I’d kept them
