@@istealurgf He was a viking raider who was granted lands in Normandy by the French king at the time. He ruled the lands of the Normans (like Nordmenn, which means Northmen or Norwegians in modern Norwegian). These same Normans later conquered England and changed the English language significantly as we know it. The Norman vikings who remained with Rollo had become French like before they conquered the English.

This is what Scandinavians used to call africans(including berbers and dark arabs) due to the skin colour as the term blue also meant dark blue and almost black colour. Like this, from Sigurd Jorsalfara's saga when he was travelling in the mediterranean: 'Forminterra lay In the victor's way; His ships' stems fly To victory. The bluemen there Must fire bear, And Norsemen's steel At their hearts feel.
