Kind of scary to find out how we Americans have been told a very different story about how the people in other countries are isn't it. Think of the stereotypical messages we've been told about Cubans, Iranians, etc and it sort of explain how our troops go into those regions with guns ready to fire. The absolute most beautiful things about Vietnam, and especially the rural areas like here, is that you can get by so well without a common language. It's amazing how a smile and open attitude can get you so far. Look how welcoming and friendly literally all of these people are to Harald because he shows an interest in them and happily approaches them.
