■ NEPAL, HIMALAYA: After two days in bed, I felt strong enough to begin my trek back down from the Himalayan mountain peaks of Lantang toward's Nepal's capital Kathmandu.
Whilst trekking up to Kyanjin Gumpa in late December, I met so many interesting people; The Tibet Guesthouse Gongo Brewmaster, Gon-Cholden, Jay's Granny, The Axemaster and many more....
Some I ran into as I trekked back down but many had left to spend time with their families in nearby villages around New Year's eve.
This time however I was hoping to meet them all....

Harald Baldr you are a good man. I travelled Nepal in 1992 before the internet, your vlogs brought back so many great memories of my time with these beautiful, caring and honest people. The most notable thing is nothing has changed in 30 years in the way these resilient amazing people live. Thank you for bringing the genuine smiles and happiness of the Nepali's around the world and to places where many live excessive lives. I am getting the travel bug watching your channel and now planning to visit Nepal again. I hope to see many people visit Nepal when we can all travel freely again post the Pandemic. This was one of your most dramatic trips with the lack of accommodations, your health, the elevation and the stark reality of devastated communities. As usual, you pulled it off with your grace and humility. You are the best. The mountains behind the seen with the unruly Yak are absolutely incredible. Thanks Geraldo!

The best thing about your videos is that you don't edit, you keep it authentic. You don't pretend to be someone for the sake of the video. I just hope there are still some videos to come from this journey of yours.

Undoubtedly the most raw, aunthetic and organic video series of Trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. Funfact - When I trekked there after the first wave, I got to know that the name Langtang comes from the legend of an Ox that travelled the length of the Himalayas. There is a place there called Lang si sar where the ox finally died. Lang means Ox and Tang means the sound of the bell that's on their neck.

That is what Mr. President was trying to tell you, that the mountains can come down any moment. As you showed, some of those peaks may not be vertical but inclined towards the river.

What an epic journey, man. Just incredible! You have such an unique way to aproach every single detail of the travel and a very touchy way to interact with people. Very genuine. You were here in my country sometime ago getting to know Rio de Janeiro and the favelas with its very hard working people. Hope you return soon to see and live the great diversity of places, landscapes, foods and people that we have. Congrats!!

Thinking of the days when Mum and Dad used to travel the world with their Lonely Planet guide books and VHS camera. How we have changed with the advent of the internet and KZbin Vlogging. Very grateful and appreciative to someone like Harald and other KZbinrs to share their experience with those who don’t have time or opportunities to experience themselves.
