Born in Netanya, Israel, Rabbi Yaron Reuven began his American Dream as a little boy, when his family immigrated to the United States. He went from a newspaper boy at the age of 10, to a well-known self-made Wall Street multimillionaire by the age of 23. During his time in Wall Street, he owned his own private brokerage firm, a hedge fund, and an international insurance agency. He was featured on CNBC, Bloomberg and Chinese NDTV due to his success in the financial industry.

Today's wigs look pretty natural so I suppose it would be difficult to tell if the woman is married or single; perhaps even causing a devout soul to have thoughts about another man's wife, a problem he wouldve avoided had he known better. So wigs in Israel don't really make any sense. But, for Western Jewry the wig was/is necessary so one doesnt mistake a Jewish woman for a Muslim. Although, some women in Israel show parts of their hair even when they cover with a scarf. Perhaps theyre not yet comfortable with covering all of their hair, as it is required; in such a case a wig is preferable to showing one's hair.

I'm sorry but why do you say a wig is better than showing some hair? Rav Ovadia actually holds it is 100% permissible to show a little hair, if you look at pictures of his wife her hair is clearly showing.

Rav Moshe Feinstein in the Sefer Igros Moshe seems to permit Shaitels.

Rav Elyashiv said today's wigs are completely forbidden and is like having no head covering at all. He rules that wigs should only be up to the shoulder maximum. Rav Chaim Kenievsky shlita is also against wigs.

Wigs are from India they give it to their hair to the fake g-d they think its gonna give them parnasa and ppl take that hair and make wigs so that's idol worshipers hair and you are wearing that its tumah its impure

by the way everyone Rav Moshe Feinstein never permitted it he said that your allowed to say Birkat Hamazon by a woman who is wearing a wig you have to check
