Agreed!!! These speakers sound like if you are right there, in a rehearsal room. I do not think you will be sending them back. Just wait until the Maggie's are hooked up to your Pass Lab's. I stayed away from listening to these speakers for sooo long of fear for making a impulse buying decision on the spot. However, your review confirms what I have always pondered. Keep up the great work!!!

Just bought a set of P3ESR's. The 1st set of speakers I ever bought for myself..based on a lot of stellar YT reviews. Something about them..like you said..they grow on you. Thx for the great video! Cheers, TS

What a beautifully and well constructed video, and what a wonderful setup. You’re inspiring! Hoping down the road I can own a pair, and pair them with some serious separates. I’m currently running quad s2’s on a Creek integrated in a small room. It’s the most refined setup I’ve had to date…and am now getting deeper into the nuance, tonal and spacial cues I’ve been craving to hear. As those you’ve described here. For me it’s primarily modern and classic jazz (I happen to be a saxophonist and music teacher), but also enjoy well recorded symphonic works. You’ve provided a great deal of insight and perspective to help us understand what tonal subjectivity can mean for deep listening. The Harbeth’s I’ve heard so far - thanks to a wonderful colleague - are simply so palpable and tonally ideal. Thanks again 🙏🏼

You're welcome and thanks for your visit. Although I have plenty of material in English here (mostly interviews) and I don't want to assume that you don't understand Spanish, I also have an outlet channel called "de audiófilos in English" maybe you can help spread the word. I appreciate your comments.

What a thoughtful and lovely review. Thank you. You mentioned that you consider the source as the music players. What are your turntable, tonearm and cartridge? By the way, I own a pair of Harbeth Super HL5+ I do like them, but I've always wondered if the PSR3 would sound more open in my 19 x 14 listening room. Thanks again.

Hola Pedro! qué lindas "cajitas" las pequeñas Harby!! ¿cómo se desempeñan con los tuttis orquestales, por ejemplo en la gran sinfonía "trágica" de Mahler? un abrazo!!
@richdevries51784 жыл бұрын
Good to hear the Harbeth's are champions. You should also consider the best single-driver speakers around too. Those are from Omega. Pure organic sound and you don't have to apply for a 2nd mortgage.

Question - Just wondering about the placement of the speakers. How much trial and error did it take for you to decide on the location as shown in the video?
@DeAudiofilosyLocos4 жыл бұрын
Hi David. Thanks for taking the time to write. All trial and error, no measurements. I find the spot where the bass is even and plentiful, then I "toe in"

BTW in my main system I use Audio Note AN-E LX speakers. I hope you can review them some day. My P3ESR are in my bedroom system! 🙂

@@DeAudiofilosyLocos Ok wish you luck. Although Im using different room and electronics. I am able to extrapolate that Audio note has a bit more emotion still a natural midrange but not as rich as Harbeth and for bass is more than P3ESR but I can't hear drum skins on the Audio Notes. Maybe has to do with sealed vs ported and room acoustics. Thanks 😊

I see have a center channel Klipsch La Scala. How does it compare to Harbeth for tone & detail?
@DeAudiofilosyLocos4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The la scala is only for mono use, with a single ended almarro and mono cartridge. I use it to make a different sound,not necessarily hifi, just effortless and neutral for mono.

@@DeAudiofilosyLocos Thanks for your insight! I was thinking of getting the La Scalas myself as I also own Klipsch Hersey IV. But decided to go with Audio Note with recommendation from Cellist Vincent. I'm always impressed how good your ears must me as you are a seasoned musician. I learn from comparing equipment and listening to live instruments as much as I can. I came to know Harbeth P3ESR by accident. When I went into dealer I wanted to hear tube amps. He had P3ESR set up pulled out from walls. I was laughing to myself you are going to demo the Jadis Orchestra ref II amp on those shoe box size speakers. We played Norah Jones cd Come Away with me. I was shocked how well balanced the sound was. Great tone. It did sound a bit electronic so we swap out for Luxman KT88 MQ-88uC. The speaker sounded rich and smooth. In my P3ESR set up I am using Prima Luna Evo 200 and Conrad johnson Et3se pre & Cambridge 851N streamer. Sound is excellent. BTW I was at someone's house before and he has vintage quads 57 like you. Great coherence and tonality. Harbeth remind me of that! I subscribed and look forward to your future content.

@@DeAudiofilosyLocos Thanks! But sometimes I think I should have gotten the Sit-3. But with speakers like Harbeth it will be nice compliment. Right now for most part using tube amps!😃

I' am interested in P3ESR. I wonder P3ESR plays piano music,especially Beethoven piano sonatas well.
