I've been to Harbin twice, once in summer, once in winter. While the Ice and Snow festival is amazing, I also had an interesting time the first time I visited Harbin. The history and atmosphere feels quite unique. Now I need to go in spring and autumn.

The chinese had preserved all these foreign buildings built by Russians and its cultures including European. That made Harbin city unique to the world.

What is not mentioned here is that the city of Harbin was designed by Polish not russian architect Adam Szydłowski. Even the oldest famous Harbin brewery was established by Polish guy named Jan wróblewski...

Very good video, and commentary. Seeing foods that bring back memories from the childhood. Ice lolly we had but in a different longer shape and at least 4 different flavors - PINGO. All the treats were so special, they are never forgotten, as also many other aspects of the childhood in Harbin.
