Wish I had the funds during the sale, but I got them now and just loving them. I have both on now with the Rockville's RPG122K and it is shaking the entire house. 🤩

How would the subwoofers put up in a live gig at a small venue 100 ppl event?

They were absolutely GREAT!!! My last Gig was an outdoor event and both subs add clean, punching and deep bass! I think both subs can easily do 100 people and they will feel it! I will post a video I took during the gig and wear headphones to hear the bass!

I have not compared it with the Behringers, but compared them to the Alto 18 inch. Inside the room the Harbinger held its own even against an 18. At the time I needed a subwoofer for small gigs. I purchased two for crowds up to 140! Check out the short videos I did from an outdoor gig and demos in my home.

Expert Island has been pushing the sale on his show and I’m glad you got some!!!! They’re fire subs! I think the difference between the S12 and the newer model is that there’s a USB port!

Question please. I have this subwoffers and on the back there is a level switch -10 and +4. Mines is at -10. What is that for

-10 cuts the volume down.

Okay, -10 turns the subs up while +4 bring it down. Hope this helps.

I’ve been trying this answer to this question all over Google/KZbin. I have v2318 similar to the S12, and I see that -10 amplifies the sub & the tops louder. While the +4 makes everything lower. Still searching why this happens, because the manual doesn’t specify why

@@patrickc6097 this is input attenuation. If your signal is strong, set to +4. If your signal is very weak, set to -10 ( you’re telling the sub, hey man, can I get a little help here )

Still loving them. Definitely the right choice! The Subs completely rock!!! The Rockvilles are holding their own as well and the subs really make the difference! I’m looking into replacing the Rockvilles because how they connect to each other. One speaker is the powered and the second is the slave and connects with 1/4 w/25 foot jack - this limits speaker placement! All in all working great!

If you connect from the mixer or controller into the subs you can use output 2 into the input on the 2nd sub and out from the 2nd sub into the 3rd sub. Output goes into the right top from the 1st sub and output from the third sub goes to the left top.

@@djromeograte8180 ok I have my set up like this, mixer L output to the input subwoofer and output into the top input of loud speaker and then mixer R output into top loud speaker input. Now the both of the subs I notice there is a second channel that has in and out besides the output that I'm already using for the top speakers. Now is that what yoy mean to use that output Into my 3 subwoofer input and does it has to be something in the input before sending it out

@@SuAmigoElilegal if you go through the subs and then to the tops, you can use the cross over of the subs to control the tops. I have the subs set to 100hz so that the subs take anything at 100 hz or less and save the work for the tops so they can work less and be louder.If you want to run it through the Rockvilles, you can use the one output from the tops into the one sub and daisy chain the two subs. Out from sub one XLR - into the XLR input of the 2nd sub then out to the 3rd Sub.

Are those pasive speakers in your array?

Speakers are powered. Sub amps are rated at 1000 watts max with 400 watts continuous. The tops are Rockville RPG 122K. One main powered speaker with the other passive. You plug the passive speaker into the main one. One cord connects it.

I just bought one on the last day of the sale and I'm very disappointed in myself. I wish I could have bought two thinking it was going to suck. Boy was I wrong. One beats hard but I'm definitely sure that two will do the job nicely. Even though it's off sale I would still spend the money it's worth regular price

I work at a Country Club and we have events all the time. A DJ came the other night with 2 15in Harbingers a Harbinger 18 and 2 arrays which I forgot the name of. All in all it sounded loud but not crystal clear. Some bass notes did their due diligence but some of the lower notes sounded really muddy and almost distortion like. Don't know which set of speakers he had was the culprit but in my opinion the Harbinger 18 could've been it. Now I see why they didn't demonstrate the 12 in the store. 2 of these 12s sounded way better than one 18 any day

I notice u said they were clipping with some songs. I wonder what frequency is that they tend to peak , would u say low bass about 60 heartz or higher like 90. Because 90 will be more punchy sound and 60 is lower more of air felling trough the body vibrations

It was lower bass at higher volumes. Definitely below 60 hertz but with the volume set at around 3 to 4 o'clock, (75% volume.) If you know the song Quiet Storm by Mobb Deep, it has a serious deep and low bass line and at high volumes it can make even the 15 and 18 inch subs give a small clip. The clip on the S12 were i call soft clips whereas the green light flickered red and not a constant red. The block party gig I did in another video, they did not clip once and those volumes were set at 75%. Great bass response they're just bypassed as work horses in comparison to Altos and even the EVs small 12 inch subs.

@@dankdank7174 yes my friend some people don't know about how to describe , or work the bass frequencies. It is not just plugging in your bass guitar and play trough it or playing prerecorded music thought it. You have to know what frequencies are best for each subwoofers so you can get the most out of them and give you , the subs and the audience the desire and best bass experience
