KZbin reviewer that actually uses his ratchets. This man knows what he’s talking about. The composite ratchets are nice, certainly the underdogs of inexpensive, very smooth ratchets out there. Non conductive, comfortable. They work great in the cold as well.

If you buy the Pittsburgh Pro 3/8 gray handle composite, you've just bought a Tekton 3/8 composite ratchet. I have both and they are identical.

@@mustangrebuilderin use, it's hard to tell the difference between 72 tooth and 90 tooth..... .and depending on the machining tolerances, a higher tooth count may not even be more efficient. 90+ tooth ratchets are neat, but unless you work on cars with super tight engine bays, it doesn't matter.

got both versions of the 1/4" composite ratchet for working on vintage mopeds. Great ratchets and they don't beat up the thin sheet metal

Have you considered taking the composite ratchet back and getting a new one? Seems like it's time. As for Icon, it is meant to be HFT's professional line. You can try a nice fixed head ratchet for a bit more than $30 with a [Icon] coupon. Doesn't seem unreasonable.

Excellent video. I've been using the 3/8 composite ratchet which is really nice for working on bikes. The length is also good for this range of bolt torques. I put a couple of drops of Boesheild T-9 into mechanism. Got it for like 8 bucks with coupon. 🔩

"ld like to see the ratchet with the "composite" plastic coating removed. I'd like to see what the actual frame looks like, thickness, material, etc.

Nice common sense review. Thanks. I have all the composites for my motorcycle where places are tight and lots of electrical connections. Never get zapped. Been wondering about the extendable.
