Nice video Ansel, I appreciate you showing us. I have the CM 14" saw as well and want to add the riser for resawing. I have watched someone do the upgrade with the Grizzly riser, wasn't a lot to the adapting other than create new post locations. Can you tell me what you had to do if anything to adapt the Jet riser please?

All you have to do is drill new holes for the guide pins. I cut a scrap of 5/8 plywood, with the saw apart I aligned the wood with the saw and taped it with a hammer. Then I drilled the pin marks on wood with proper size drill for pins, then I aligned the board to riser block and clamped it to block. Then drill the block. repeat for both ends of the block. Reassemble saw. You must have a larger blade 105 inch. There is a metal cover that I cut so it laps over the top and bottom of the block. The saw seems to jump around a lot. Is that because of the added riser block? I have the stock saw and I notice some bouncing movement on mine. Also, who manufacturers the new guides?

Why did you do this upgrade? Was there something lacking in the guides that came with the saw? How did this improve the saw?

The guide blocks add friction and drag. You can run the guide bearings extremely close to the blade so you have less blade flex.
