Pretty genius idea. I knew exactly what you did as soon as I loaded up harbor freight and saw the carts with the single drawer (I had paused at like 30 second in to see what carts you were talking about). I was thinking for the issue at the rear, if you have a welder you could just throw a few tacks along the back instead of the brackets. Depending on how much flex there is in the final "cabinet" you could also just put in a support bracket across the entire back and use screws/bolts through that as well. Lots of ideas that could work.

Nice mods. HD has 16" square steel pegboard. I bought two for my 30" single-drawer cart and they fit perfectly inside the side rails and provide some extra stability. They don't obviously cover the side opening completely, but since you like buying in threes you could buy three and cut one up to fill in each side.

I did that lol! Check out my newer video where I added a top and fixed the gap?

I have castors on almost everything in my garage, going to have a big clear out now as migt be moving overseas. 2 fixed castors at back (cheapest) and 2 locking castors at front

Nice job, dont know if I could be bothered. Its easy to make the trolleys with 2x4 and glue and screw together each joint. I actually used my old baby daughter changing table. I have 100kg nylon castors (I think thats what I used, so will hold 400kg max) and have tested it with about 250kg water (using stacked 5L jerry can). 4" is the sweet spot for castor size and (low-ish) price, at least in UK, 5, 6 and 8" castors are super expensive here

I agree it’s super easy, I’ve got a few lying around but I want something that looks nice and is functional
