Other reviews recommend two things, either plywood side walls or a 2x6 along each side, and laying a tarp down on top to keep material from getting behind the wheel wells and creating a friction brake. Those would have resolved your issues!

Good review. Was thinking of getting one of these today. Probably will. As you said it saves a lot of labor regardless of the issues

mine came with 2 bumper straps, you only got one? thats why its twisting

Upgrade it... take a 2x4 the width of your wheel Wells.... wrap the end of the tarp around it and throw some screws threw it... now nothing will get stuck in place and will all come out. I used it for grass and the grass would sometimes stay while the tarp was leaving... soon as I attached the wood it never did it again! It also helps to stay in place while you have nothing on it.

Haha the real pro tips are in the comments. Thanks, I will do that the next time I dig it out of the shed.

They need handles on both sides so that two people can crank in tandem 👍.

Near me, I just checked a couple of places for delivery cost... $100-$140 dollars. I'll get this plus a tarp to sit underneath it. That should make it much easier to unload.
@striker121114 күн бұрын
Woah that's expensive, for anything around a cu yard this works great. Ive been just getting delivery for larger mulch dumps, it only costs $35 here though.

So far, this is the best video about this thing. I'm trying hard not to kill myself doing a project and this looks like it might save my back. Thanks

This HF underloader is pretty amazing for loading up the flower beds with mulch during the spring because we can back right up and dump. I'm still happy with my purchase.
@jamesflynn102 жыл бұрын
This might have helped with a load of mulch I got a couple of times, but also one time got some loan. I got one for free and it seems it is missing the crank, but might be useful for something. I’ve been looking into a dump bed conversion and dump trailer, both a lot more money, but “push button easy”. One regret all of those times was not using a tarp at least, as that stuff made an absolute mess out of the bed without one.

Hello sir, just saw a few videos on this. If you put the strap on the other end it balances out a little better

Thanks for your video, though there is definitely room for improvement for this truck bed unloader gadget.

Unless you are a contractor I'd say this will work for you. I've used it like 3 times in the like 5 years I've had it.

@@striker1211 ohh, well I'll have to use it at least 3 times a week or more. Still feel like giving it a go because of the price

Thank you - and thanks for showing the issues - question from someone with a back injury mid project. Can you put a 2nd strap on easily to prevent the binding? How much pressure does it take to operate the crank? Injured older vet trying to keep going - against orders - and somethings it just gets angry and if I could dump a load of brick chips from my truck I have a kid that works here and there to spread it before we reuse the ruby red that was raked back to add dirt to raise the bed - quite a job. Seeing scary stuff on using brick chips but I needed a base to make up for lost ruby red during the rake backs - as I am unable to find in NC now - gees - it is a huge island and I have to really conserve what we raked back but the brick chips will become unseen when covered if I do not run out of ruby red. Thoughts?

You know you had the strap on the wrong end.... It goes on the end without the crank.

Not according to the manual. It says bumper strap and crank go on Left side.
@jasonoedel59863 жыл бұрын
You're right. I put mine on the pass side and have zero problems. Also the brackets have to be adjusted to fit the tailgate. I have no issues, in fact, I run a cordless impact now so I don't have to even crank.
@boredretiredguy77853 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too. In all other videos strap is on other side

Yeah I'm going to use a ratchet strap to secure it next time, I'm getting mulch soon. I still like using this belt as opposed to having it delivered because I can back the truck right up tight to where I need it and crank... But I wish it wouldve included 2 straps.

It is pretty nice (still in good shape, stored inside) but I have to admit I was annoyed at how much cleaning I still had to do to get the remaining dirt out of the bed. A tarp in the bed secured to the cargo tie downs helps but It'd be nice if someone built a dump truck insert for f-150s for cheap. I recently had 3 yards delivered and it was so nice to not have to deal with shoveling it out and cleaning the truck liner. With a $30 flat delivery charge it wasn't even worth the gas to use the loader. I would've saved like $10. The unloader is pretty much only cost effective if you're getting less than a yard of material.
