It lifted that 533 like a champ. The load isn't tight and creating imbalance and struggled with it. That is seriously impressive! Not many of the DJI Drones lift about 1/2 their weight and the Avata 2 is lifting its own weight plus some. Very impressive! Just getting 30% more than the drone weights is nothing to complain about.

The bottom 2+ things should be done with string. I think the ‘tower’ below the drone is affecting the lift flow of the props

Great video! I recently applied a skin on my Avata2 and wanted to see how the added weight would effect the drone. If it can carry this payload I am sure it can handle a few stickers on the body.

Thanks for doing this. Now I know I can safely add some weight as long as it is balanced. Im going to 3d print some landing gear wich also holds a phone or gopro. Seems better to have the weight below the rotors than above them.

One of the problems with the double load is that you altered the center of gravity by a huge amount. I would bet that this is much more of a factor than the actual weight. If the weight were closer to the body OR if you had it on a tether, I'm sure you'd see different results. I have a drop system coming and plan to lift a similar weight this week, but with a tether on the drop controller.

Great test! I fly an Avata 1 with a insta360 RS which is 165 grams - the difference is I put the camera on top. Insta360 has just come out with the new X4 today which is 203 grams - add on about 17 grams for mounting bracket - Would you be willing to try 220 grams on top of the Avata 2.

I tested with 222g (a can of tomato paste and a few quarters) on top and flew it around the house and yard. The reaction time was significantly reduced but it was stable and able to hold altitude.

You need 5 blade props to lift things like a GoPro 11 mini. It works good with the original Avata.

Ok. Am I correct in thinking this is good if you're planning on delivering the drone with the payload, correct? There is no "payload carry and release" system available for the Avata 2? This video is basically a test for how heavy a camera it can carry? Because I don't see much other usefulness for it...
