Harbor Freight 8 inch Bench Grinder with Gooseneck Setup and Review - Central Machinery

The new Bauer and Herc grinders are actually great. The only issue they still have, that separates them from more expensive machines, is the shoulder the flange rides on is waay less than 1mm. Also the flanges are stamped steel and not machined, therefore out of balance. If you buy better after market flanges, a spacer to ride on the shoulder and a quality wheel, even the older central machinery will run like a dream.

Maybe the grinding wheel hole itself is off square?

I reversed wheels, and swapped wheels, there is a shoulder that flange sits against, that shoulder is cut wrong - see the fix - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKCnfoOBf7t7r8k - thank for subscribing !

@@blipblip88 I've can only think of one item I took back to HF(6 function metal detector), I usually work on them to get them to work, I buy a lot of tools at HF when they are on sale and it might be a while before I get around to unboxing it, that grinder sat under my bench for almost a year before I unboxes it to use, way too late to take it back.... thanks for subscribing!
