I really appreciate your instruction. They were out of the saws when I went to buy one today. One thing that I noticed is in the vertical position, I don’t see a miter gauge position or a miter.

That saw is on sale for $109 right now, and the stand is discounted to $99. So for less than just the better Swag stand alone, you can get a chop saw, vertical bandsaw, integrated switch and the saw itself, and all meant to work together. I bought the saw today, before I knew the stand would do vertical too. So I'm going back tomorrow for the stand.

Is there anything that can be cut on your band saw setup shown here that I couldn't cut on either my 7.5" or 12" sliding miter saws with a high quality metal cutting blade?

Does anyone have tips on how to keep the saw from veering off to the left during a horizontal cut? I got the hercules saw & stand assembled and squared up, but under the pressure of a horizontal cut, the blade drifts to the left. I checked the downward stroke of the blade throughout its descent, without a load and it is dead plumb, but every cut on something real, the kerf curves to the left. I checked the tension on the sawblade and it's as tight as it can get.

Same here. No solution yet... I'm thinking its something to do with the size of the rollers.

@@ModzandMore413 I'm gonna see if the rollers are angularly adjustable. If so, I'm gonna cant the blade to the right a bit and see if that will correct it.

I'm having the same problems! And so is my Son. He has a Bauer mounted on the Hercules stand, and I have the cordless Hercules mounted on my stand. Both seem to have a tendency for the blade to twist when cutting! Very frustrating! I even contacted Harbor Freight, and their advice was to take it back. :( I'm not sure a new saw and stand would remedy the problem, unless they have made some changes???

I have the same problem. I noticed a lot of play where the handle bolt holds the adapter. Possibly the adapter hole is too large and needs a bushing or sleeve.

No one seems to have a fix for the blade twist. I'm using quality blades. I have even held a cold chisel against the top of the blade while it's cutting to keep the blade true. When cutting pipe, I have to keep rolling the pipe to get a true cut. While this saw is a great idea, someone ( HF ) needs to work on the design a little more! Very frustrating!!

I just got one of those stands and ran across your video while searching for tips and tricks. Did you figure out the issue with the wobbly base? Did you put some squares on it to see if it was warped? Might need to be exchanged?

The Hercules band saw stand actually came out a couple months before the Hercules band saw.

The Hercules tool is an ok tool. it works, ive used it, but IMHO 2 main issues. 1) its defeats the purpose of your PORTABLE band saw. It's not simple to remove your saw & use portable.

Takes maybe 5 minutes tops to take off. It's the 10 minutes to readjust. I witness mark the top adapter and handle to the frame with some tape and strait edge. That will make it much easier to dial back in. Space is the issue and occasional use is what this thing is gear to. If I had the room I would love to have the central machining in the garage.

It's not mentioned in the manual. I use a WEN bandsaw, it's not mentioned either.

Is there no way to clamp the piece your cutting oppose to holding with your hands? Not very safe

Yes, it has a slot where you can use a drill press clamp. I'm using the 9 inch clamp from HF.

I appreciate you making the video, but I can tell you've never touched a portaband in your life. It's all good, but for starters, it's a blade, not a belt. 2) Try not to hurt yourslf. Lol 3) It's probably best if people dont try to make how to videos about stuff that they know nothing about. I'm just saying.... Thanks for the video, tho!
