I never use my little Craftsman like that anymore. After seeing this I need to check & see if it has a filter. Come to think of it I need to check my filters on the big compressor too.

Bearings often have the part number stamped on somewhere. For sealed bearings, usually on a seal, but with these being so small, there may not be room for one. If it was on the outer ring where the bearing seats or the inner ring, it is probably not readable anymore. Try taking the somewhat-reassembled bearing to a place that sells bearings to see if they can match the dimensions. You may want to take the motor and piston with you to check the fit. Or maybe you can find a parts manual for the compressor and get the pat number that way. Search Google for the compressor make and model numbers with parts manual at the end. Good luck!

I bet you could find a cheap replacement bearing for that crank shaft to the piston, amazon or Ebay . Also I do like the idea of using a repurposed fridge compressor, I mean as long as you have a working safety valve on that compressor it should work great. I have an older harbor freight small oiled air compressor that blew the head gasket, I just laser cut a replacement from a thin sheet of leather that compressor is still working years later. Think I have had it for about 15 yrs now. I love it because it is just enough to do many jobs and it is light weight easy to move and can be plugged into any outlet. L3

Good tip using leather for a gasket. Have to keep that one in mind. I wanted to try repurposing fridge compressor for awhile but had no need or the time. Seems like every time I plan a "fun" project something will have to be taken care of. Stay well, Joe Z

Youve got enough inner & outer bearing races there to buy the bearing from a bolt /bearing place using the inner& outer diameter measurements.

We have a place about a half hour from here that may have this bearing. If they do maybe another 7 years for this little compressor.
