I've found myself in similar situations before, needing to make quick fixes when I couldn't wait for a new power supply to arrive. Most of the time, the issue has been a break in the wire near the flex point. I'm really glad that all my new laptops now use the USB C PD power system-replacing those cords is much more affordable, usually only a few dollars for a decent PD power cord. FVL8

How do you "clean the inside of the bell" it's got half a century of rust inside of it...
@JOEZEP546 күн бұрын
I do not know if there is a tool for this. The one in this video did not have that much to clean out. I just scraped the sides with a small putty knife. If you cannot find a tool to clean it out try fabricating some metal ( pipe, sheet metal, flat piece of steel) whatever you have available to a 90 deg angle to scrape & pull out the rust. Hope this helps. Let me know if it does. Stay safe, Joe Z

Just like any trade or profession there are those who do not know what they are doing or are just dishonest. Not only do we the consumers suffer but the honest tradesmen/professionals do as well. Their quotes and recommendations are often looked at with suspicion. Looks like if you went with the first Co. and changed the electrical box you would have had the same problem. Please help me. I changed the the pump strainer because the burner was pulsating and now I can’t even get the pump to bleed.
@JOEZEP5417 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching and keep in mind I am not a tech, just a DIYer showing how "I got er done". Some of what I show should be left to professionals. That said, did you change the gasket for the pump? Make sure you tightened all 4 screws. Any air leak will cause it not to draw fuel. A dirty/clogged in line fuel filter will also stop fuel flow. If you get it to "bleed" & it still pulsates a dirty fuel nozzle may be the issue. Again you calling a pro may be necessary. Let me know if any of this helps. Stay safe, Joe Z

Right not I’m just trying to get it back on and pumping fuel. I’m not home but I’ll check to make sure I tightened the screws all the way. I don’t understand how me changing the strainer has caused the pump not to pull any fuel at all

Plus my house was built in 1960 and now I have to test the water for Lead from the pipes, as recommended by City Utilities. I wouldn't have thought to otherwise. Great job, Joe. I hope raising everything off the floor goes well and easy. Tell Johnny I said Hi.

It is always something no matter where we live. I grew up in the city & lived there until 69. Not sure when the house I lived in was built. My Grandfather was always doing some type of maintenance & updating. Could have been a TV series, I do remember once on a renovation he was doing, I asked what seemed to be gas lines doing in the wall he was taking down. Well they were gas lines for gas lamps. Must have been some history. I will say hi to Johnny, thank you.

@@JOEZEP54 "It is sad that so many children today do not have this support." Yes, married mother-father (and extending family) parenting has fallen apart badly in today's Radical-Elite-run America, and that's on purpose. It took them 80 years to get here, from the end of WWIII to today, but it's like some say, Things happen slowly over time and the all at once. I pray that President Trump, his Cabinet and Administration can get America back to its Constitutional Roots, and the sooner, the better.

Not worth it. I found this video and did what you did and the compressor is making air again! Thanks you saved me the cost of a new one. I will eventually pick up some brake line and a couple of brass compression fittings. This will happen again but for now, fixed is fixed! THANKS!

Thank you. Came here because I started out using a HF 6 lb maul and it seemed to work very well except for one tree which was a problem (don't know what kind of wood that is). I bought the 8 lb and tried that, but thought the 8 lb did not do as well as the 6 lb. I thought the edge on the 8 lb was too blunt (the 6 lb is much sharper). I have tried giving it a bit sharper edge but not as much as you have, and I think it needs more. Thanks for confirming what my inexperienced self was thinking. Take care.

Could the chain sprocket on the drive wheel be adjusted to align instead of a spacer on the the gear on the clutch? The chain alignment looks to be off by about an inch. If not, could you mark where the engine mounting bolts are now and use a Dremel Tool grinding cylinder, or something similar, to grind the mounting slots to have a 90° slot just deep enough to align the chain? If possible, this would save finding and installing a spacer for the clutch gear. Or maybe a combination of both, depending on the spacer you can find. The engine mounting slots may be designed the way they are to be able to adjust for chain stretching, so if the 90° cut slots have to be lengthened to accommodate chain stretch, you could use thick washers and lock nuts on the bottom for stabilization. You'll have to evaluate if these things are possible or not and if some combination can work well enough. Good luck. Looks like Johnny really enjoyed his go cart. Please tell him I said Hi.
@JOEZEP543 ай бұрын
Thank you for these suggestions. I was considering grinding the mounting slots 90 deg to move the engine towards the chain but thought I man=y have an issue if I had to move the engine at a later date to tighten the chain. I put a couple of washers behind the clutch & it did the job. I will tell Johnny you said hi. Thanks again. Stay well, Joe Z
