Love that old hammer. My father had one just like it, and an axe to go with it.

You’re wrong about changing the brushes, there is a single screw just to the right of the cord on the back of the unit, remove it then slide the piece over the cord to gain access to the brushes. It’s that simple.

good catch! this is a replacement for my old one and i guess they modified the base and I hadn't noticed. Thanks!

You don't have to take it all apart to change the brushes, just 1 screw near the power cord strain relief and the back half slides backwards.

I always wondered if I can change the backing pad great video, can I attach a brush to it??

I think you can but you might have to get an adapter to match the threads

Did you swap out the factory grease with a high temp grease?

I actually just did that this past weekend with Lucas White Lithium. this polisher doesn't get nearly as hot as the bigger Bauer 20mm long throw polisher but I think the noise decreased a little. Either way, this polisher went several years and many many full paint corrections without any issues. for $40 on sale, it's a great deal.

@@PJsTipsandTricks I have them both also. The short throw did have minimal high temp grease. Great video 👍👍

Did the DA come with a spare pad?
@PJsTipsandTricks2 жыл бұрын
If you mean the backing plate -no. It didn’t come with any foam polishing pads. Not sure I really trust HF polishing pads anyway.

I just bought this machine. No extra pads. Don’t buy generic no name pads.
