Video of the Year 🥇🏆🥇 even if it is a year old now. I went to Harbor Freight last weekend and bought the MADDOX Pneumatic Fan Clutch Wrench Set after fervently watching what seemed like one hundred KZbin videos on how to remove the Fan Clutch in my 2003 Jeep Liberty. My ultimate task was to ‘simply’ remove and replace the electric Heavy Duty Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly located directly behind the radiator. As some may already know or have discovered like I did, the electric fan assembly and fan shroud is exceedingly difficult to remove with the OEM 11-blade Clutch Fan located directly behind it and securely attached to the water pump. The MADDOX Pneumatic Fan Clutch Wrench Set and air hammer (also purchased at Harbor Freight) made this laborious task seem like child's play with my air compressor set to about 100 PSI. Thanks for the informative product review as well as providing viewers a live demonstration. 👌🏻

I bought the Lisle set which looks the same as yours but costs a lot more. I'm working on a Ram 1500, which is reverse thread, but the nut is not coming loose. I'm supposed to have 5 CFM @ 90 so I'm wondering if my compressor might not be powerful enough. What psi are you using? Is there something you can recommend for getting of a stubborn nut? I've tried the big wrench and hammer thing, and that did not work either. Thanks

I was running right around 110psi on mine. I have used i large pipe wrench before on my ford 6.0 with reverse threads. Or you can try a chisel with your air hammer but sounds like you may need a little more psi.

Dumb question… how do you keep the pulley from spinning before I go get this?

If you keep the serpentine belt on that gives the pulley enough tension the keep it from moving enough to get the fan clutch nut loose. If not they do make fan clutch pulley holding tools but shouldn’t need it since the air hammer blows are quick enough to spin it loose before the pulley has a chance to move.

No I don’t think so but they sell spanner wrench sets that don’t require a air hammer for fan clutches.
