The lift works OK. I used it to hold up one end of a large trailer (so it didn't tip when I stepped on it). The video goes over assembly. As always, I ramble a bit. Skip ahead if it bothers you.
UPDATE: I did nto move this much, or even use it all that much, and the conenction where handle meets the rest of the jack broke (crappy weld). I have to reweld it. it's a weak point.

Thank you so much. The first 2 steps and pics in the instructions were useless. I don't know if I would have ever got it assembled without your video. I have never seen a worse set of instructions. Thanks Again.

Your video was helpful, because of your video I didnt have to use the instructions. Thankfully I watched your video once before using it to put the lift together, so I caught what you said about turning around the jack, and did it right the first time.

Your video was the best of several others out there. I laughed at your comment about the two pins and the fact that there weren't any bolts, nuts and washers in a bag. I thought the very same thing and therefore my reason for checking out KZbin videos. Your video helped me to put this lift together. You referred to the instructions which no one else did. They just started putting it together haphazardly and I can't do that. Your video went step by step which helped me. Of course, I didn't take 10 or 15 minutes but then again I don't assemble many things having been a school teacher prior to retirement. Thanks for a good instructional video. Loved the Pittsburgh comment! Ha.

You video helped. I wished I had searched internet first. I scratched my head when parts didn't look like pictures. I started to put together was missing washer and R clip. I called number on instructions they told me to call store. Store told me to rebox and bring back they would exchange. I made do. Too heavy and I'm too old to drag across parking lot. I haven't used yet. I need to service lawn mower for spring and change blades. Disappointed it did not fold up like I have seen before I don't have the room. I agree pin would be better than safety tabs. Thanks again and Merry Christmas.

Great video and definitely needed it for my assembly task. Best part was the STOP!!!!!! Command. Only suggestion after doing this of course would be to assemble everything but the piston section. I’d leave that part last since there appear to be two ways to put those pieces together, but only one correct way.

How do you lower the feet to the ground, it seems that the lifting piece in the middle (the thing with the foot pedal attached) is blocking the ability to go down to the ground. Good video

I just bought this yesterday from HF, I think it was a return because when I opened it the jack was fully extended and I pressed down the device to lower it but it won't go down and It since it's extended fully I can't install it. I hope HF has good customer support, looks like I'm gonna have to call them.

I bought one yesterday, the assembly instructions are not very good. I replaced the thin wire “safety clips” (they look like mangled paper clips) with heavier “hairpin” ones. The thing works great, I used it today and cleaned the underside of the deck. No more having to remove the deck for cleaning and blade removal. It lifts my atv easy too.

Thanks, you saved me a headache. I need the model that's able to fold up flat. What model number is your lift. Maybe the store in my area might still have the older models. Was the picture on the box the same as the model you received?

marcel84 I think the fold up model had pins for safety's. New model has the flip up spring loaded pins but nonfold flat. Good luck searching. I just slide mine under a rolling wood rack - it puts it mostly out of the way

!t has 2 pedals. The one to the right raises it. The one to the left lowers. Check that the left one is all the way up. If the jack doesn't raise then, take it back.

You can store it better if you remove the handle, and hang it, or lean it on the side of your wall. It took me more than 15 min to put it together 😞 . In a couple of days i will be testing it to put some gator blades on my 50 inch Exmark.

It pity you. I HATE the trip back. Depending on the manager, prepare yourself for, "you have to bring it ALL back". I delt with that on one trip, so I bought another one, pulled out the part I needed and returned it on the way home to another Harbor Freight - "It's missing a part, so I don't want it..." That's the "Harbor Freight Shuffle"

Your narration was as if I was mumbling to myself 😅😅😅 I did come to the deliberation with the bottle jack but didn't pick your route. However as you said directions SUCK!!!!! NOW That I have it assembled I'm stuck trying to troubleshoot the bottle jack. IT WON'T GO DOWN !!!!! Time to call the number on the directions, hopefully it won't be a bot, pray 🙏 I get to talk to an intelligent human being 😮😮😮

UPDATE!!!! I wasn't able to get the flicking bottle jack to lower so I took it off an d service it. Went and bought jack oil because it was dry. I fill to t he lower area of the hole then noticed it leaking at the base. JUNK!!!! LONG end of story I bought another and same issue DON'T BUY ONE. HAPPY ENDING.... Went to Tractor Supply bought the MoJo jack the same price. Assembly is install 2 arms with set pins and that's it😂😂😂😂 The difference is you have to crank it, but if you have the right attachment you can use a drill to crank faster. My blades are sharp 😎 Wonderful jack and the great news is it flat for easy storage 😊😊😊

I am old woman by myself 66 yrs old, bent the blades under my mower and needed this of course can't figure out the directions. Of course I had a damaged box and ask told the at the store hope not missing any parts. Wishful thinking. SO I emailed for parts go some of it together. To much trouble to return, will probably run out to Ace Hardware for the pieces that is missing and using my tractor parts to hold the lifts on for now.. Agh
@forseeit
@forseeit 4 жыл бұрын
LOL - 66 is a long way from old in my book. Besides the lift, you might want to invest in an impact gun. The bolts that hold the blades on can get super tight over time. A "cheap" impact gun from harbor freight will blow them right off.

Well damn. Looks like a bag of screw me. So I brought a few used rider mowers that course, are lemons now. Tired of doing crap without a lift. So today got what you got. Matter of fact till I get time still sealed in box. I do not like the fact new style don't fold. I have no room vs what you got. Hell I have to work on stuff in my lawn on grass. So this should be fun. Putting it together should be fun. The pin safety thing I'm not a fan of. So I got to think of something else also to put in to support mower. I wonder if one could rip out that saftey crap and put thick pins in hole? I also question the 300lbs. Wonder if thats a cap out. Shorely my Craftsman LT-1000 should be close to that. It's a old tank. Fun fun. I did have a coupon from site on sale. Paid $75 stead of hundred what ever. Do you have to oil or grease pump at times?
@peteosinga8845
@peteosinga8845 3 жыл бұрын
I have found that if you buy something from harbor freight it’s best to assemble it that day and use it as much as possible because they do not stand behind their stuff and if you need parts they are more expensive then what you bought. Especially if you purchase things that have pumps or electric parts, they are usually very cheap and break right away.

Makes sense from that store or chain of products. I'm pretty well up creek on if it fails now. I assume warranty is toast. May or may not be. It's been 4 months since my above stated and still sits in box sealed. Being I have no room to put together and leave as that. I just brought stands and jack instead and used them with blocks.

Joesph Baumgardner I bought a power washer from them and didn’t use it until the warranty was gone , when I finally fired it up it was out of box failure. No longer available, needed a $2 part. Searched on internet defiantly was the weakest part in the design and none available. everyone that had this pos, that part broke. A rolling seat I purchased one wheel broke, that wheel would cost $15 to replace, the whole seat was $30. I knew the other wheels would go soon. Many tools and items are great and cheap but you get what you pay for...
@forseeit
@forseeit 3 жыл бұрын
I think you are right - you get what you pay for. I think sometimes we would prefer to pay more to get quality, but when I am thinking about that I ask myself - "Would I pay four times more to get something of quality?" I bought a nice utility knife for $13, and there wqas a similar one in harbor freight for $1.99. But...I use the knife almost daily, so the quality makes a difference.
