I put a 2hp on my table saw several years and it's still going great. Thanks for the video

That's great, I hope we get many years from our motors. Thanks for watching and appreciate you commenting on your experience.

@ww321 do you happen to know the output diameter on the 2hp motor? I can't find that info anywhere!

Does it turn both ways?

Due to an error on an auction, I purchased a jet bandsaw 14 inch with no motor and I’m currently building the base with the motor. It’s the one hp Smith and Jones. Do you think I will be running into any issues?

@joshbruno6116 if you can get it mounted, you will only have to worry about the pulleys matching up, belt size, and the shroud that protects the moving parts. Shouldn't be too difficult if you can source parts and a little fabrication on your end.

@ update, I got the motor, located proper pulley and belt, got it mounted, almost fully, I’m trying to mimic the original location which is mounted in the base I have to make, my main issue currently is a stronger mounting bracket bc the motor seems to slide, loosening the belt on my couple test starts, and the fact that even after setting the set screw, the pulley still wants to slide to the end of the arbor

How's that motor holding up on your tire machine?

It seems to be doing well with no issues yet, and I have been working the machine pretty hard lately.
