I just got one for my pickup as a beat around set haven’t used it yet but I was impressed at the initial feel of it and now seeing them cut I’m sure it’ll be great for my needs working on equipment

It's a good hobby torch. I was going to do review on it, but you've covered it well, so I'll skip beating that dead horse. I slice ¾ inch plate with the torch & a Victor tip. Great deal at HF. I do wish it had the journeyman length, though, but it's unbeatable for price. Thanks for the video.

@putawaywet1 Yeah, it'll work with the rosebud. The cutting head just unscrews & you put the heat head on it. Not certain what the model number is, but your rosebud needs to be the appropriate size for your acetylene tank.

Looking into a set up already considered this one ..in a scrapper a mechanic at times and metal work is always dropped in my lap so been needing a set up for years now

Most HF equipment, if any part fails, no replacement parts are available.

@@sergeantmasson3669 here’s the thing it’s all the same as a victor from o ring kit to tip and actually there’s a lot of replacement parts available through them tbh that being said I had an airco torch that was rebuilt and was 241$ to rebuild it that’s almost 3x the cost of this torch

My question to everyone that has this vector style, will it work with a victor rosebud? If so, what model Victor works

Victor handles last many decades so I never buy new torches (I've collected torches to use for many years and overhaul my own per factory specs). You need to use a Victor SIZE CHART for your rosebud but most will fit a 315 or older (I prefer these) 310 series handle.

please tell me you did not spray wd 40 on that torch body because oxygen and oil have a zero flash point and you could have a real catastrophe on your hands. just saying.

I’ve always used gasoline to check for leaks on mine. It’s readily available and cheap. 🙂

Thread tape is NOT for use on cutting tips and is ONLY to seal TAPERED threaded fittings not gas weld fitting tip seating or hose connections. If it leaks fix the problem because surprise fires are a bad thing.

It’ll get the job done for the weekend backyard warrior!! 90% of torch users in the world don’t correctly know how to even use a torch anyway!. So need in spending lots of money on name brand better torch still not knowing how to even use them correctly IMO!!👍👍

It’s actually been preforming just as good as any victor in a professional daily use setting. I won’t hesitate to buy these and put them in a shop environment

Using any petroleum for leak checking a system holding oxygen compressed or otherwise is rather brave. Ivory soap (plain) and water is recommended in Oxweld and other torch manuals. It would be MUCH more professional to study proper practice instead of assuming.
