It's good the old FXL5 avionics were upgraded, but the ship's frame could do with a refit! In these days of FTL/Hyperspace/Warp Drives in sci fi, rockets are so outdated. But that's my opinion. Great graphics on Steve, Venus 😉, and the crew. It's the first time I've actually seen this animated episode, and the voices are authentic, so I'll assume they are, so brilliant work getting them synced. Thank you!😁

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Very much appreciated. You are correct the voices, music & sound effects are from the original show. It takes me about a week to slice up the audio from an episode into individual character, music & special effect files. I did try to update the XL5 in earlier reanimated episodes by having it take off on a runway like a jet fighter. But so many viewers insisted the rail takeoff was iconic I brought it back (I admit I'm glad I did). Also the characters and graphics are much improved since I started this back in 2017. Happy Holidays!

I've got to be honest, I didn't even know that Fireball XL5 had been remade. Looking at the credits at those involved in the production shows a lot of serious talent went into these new episodes.

Thank you for watching and posting a comment. Very much appreciated. I hope you liked it. The end credits first list the original production crew (Gerry & Sylvia Anderson and staff) that created the B&W marionette TV show of the early 1960s. @@HarborsidePressLLC In that case I will slightly amend what I said, the original series had a lot of talent, and your new production does too and it's all the more impressive if it was just you. Seriously, compare it to the revived Captain Scarlet or Thunderbirds, the quality of your animation is right up there. On a related note, I've seen other "fan work" mostly Doctor Who and Star Trek, and I have wondered why the BBC and film studios haven't employed these people to harness their creative talent especially as they could then have access to industry standard equipment. I now definitely include you and your work in that thought.

I love this XL5 series. I am not against the erratic movements of the characters, because it is a tribute to these pioneers of the time. I like Venus, I like the fact that she is often in rather liberal civilian clothes (Including her bikini!) I also liked the parody of Boris and Natacha. Another of my favorites. I imagine putting on a dress similar to Natasha's as Griselda's costume wouldn't be practical for her. In short, I would like their return (Boris with his hat and Griselda this time in a dress) I also liked seeing another female character (a wicked girl in an attractive outfit (bikini)). Any other episode with female characters, either good or bad would be appreciated. In short, very good and magnificent work. Bravo.
@HarborsidePressLLC Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and posting a comment. I'm glad you like the episodes. You made an astute observation: the clunky (erratic) movements are to simulate (parody) the marionet motions of the original (without seeing the strings). Thanks again for watching.

Maybe my judgment is biased by the fact that I'm a fan of Boris & (especially) Natasha, I think she stole the show in this episode... I like to write stories in the world of magic and science fiction, often with a twist of espionage. My recurring character is based on Natasha Fatale and a person I met in the past. So maybe I fell in love with this episode. Once again, well done.

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. As always very much appreciated. What a long strange trip its been (first episode released in 2017) I finally believe I got it right. I did have a great Thanksgiving. We did not have turkey but my wife and I shared a charcuterie board and watched the original Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory (with Gene Wilder). You too have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year, my friend. All the best from Connecticut, USA.

Look at my name. LOL I had to comment. (KZbin added the last 3 numbers & and I no idea why.) Fine job! Especially like the original music. Clothing was a bit too tight....gotta remember this was a children's show. Story was good and apropos for the time in which the show was on the air. Chernobyl was anachronistic but can be explained by the Raider's previous encounter with earth. Don't know if it was intentional but the Raiders were dressed in silver and black just like the pro football team. Lastly "marionettes" is a small error as the credits in every original show called it "Filmed In SUPERMARIONATION". Maybe you couldn't say that because of some copyright thing, IDK. It could use some more polishing up, especially with transitions, but as I said before, good job.

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The episode was made with iClone animation, props & special effects by Reallusion. Most of the characters & other props are derived from models from DAZ3D. All the rendered animations are then placed into a video editor Movie Studio by Vegas. Audio work (voices, music & sound effects) are compiled with AVS Audio Editor. It took 10 weeks to do this 25 minute episode. Happy Holidays!

I guess it's possible. ITV_plc owns the copyright to the episodes you mentioned above.

I am so sorry it took me this long to respond. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode. Unfortunately, this was my last remake of Fireball XL5 due to video copyright restrictions (too many copyrighted shows on my channel limited me from monetizing). If you haven't already, please give my latest release SPACE PATROL 2100 a look. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o37UqXSlgcSFj6ssi=dqBK3IejMSFoDr5b

I like that you added Comander Zero's son Johnathan with the horn the wake him up. When will you add Eleanor his wife to the show?
@HarborsidePressLLC2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Very much appreciated. I'm glad you liked Johnathon. As far as adding Eleanor, to be honest I don't know. It would come down to what episode(s) she appears on the original show. And I'm not quite sure which ones those are off the top of my head. As of late I choose episodes to remake by popularity (IMDB) ratings and feasibility (having the assets and capabilities). Example: To make THE DAY THE EARTH FROZE I had collect enough wintry props to make Space City look snow bound. Anyway, I'm glad you liked Johnathon and hopefully Eleanor will appear sometime in the future. Happy Holidays!

@@trudycrockett7570 I'm so sorry Trudy but I had to delete that video. Back in late October 2022 I received this message from KZbin: "Hi HarborsidePressLLC, A copyright owner using Content ID has claimed some material in your video. As a result, your video has been blocked in some countries. This means that your video is still up on KZbin, but people in some countries may not be able to watch it. This is not a copyright strike. This claim does not affect your account status. Video title: Fireball XL5 The Forbidden Planet Copyrighted content: Metadata is hidden, as the content in question has not been made publicly available by its provider. Claimed by: UMG" KZbin did not list what countries it was unavailable to watch. I kept track of viewing hits for several weeks and when the video received none I assumed the USA, Great Britain and Canada (countries where I get a majority of my hits from) must be part of the ban. So I removed it. What's odd is ITV which owns the rights allows me to publish the remakes (though all money made goes to ITV). There must have been one certain tune, melody or music score in that episode which is owned by some one else. Again sorry.

The takeoff roll needs work. I could push it faster and what's the point of firing the last sled rockets just before it reaches the end
@HarborsidePressLLC2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I will put in a requisition order (a TPS report) to the World Space Patrol to fix the takeoff ramp. It's a government project so it may take awhile.

Everything looks plastic - - the ppl, the background, the space craft. In Anderson's original, the craft and machinery looked metallic. Step backward. This is progress?
