For all with the issue that the HDDs are not showing up in disk management AT ALL, this fixed my problem: on the motherboard I switched spots for the SATA cables from the one where it said sata6g_56 to the one where it said sata6g_12. So my suggestion, try different SATA slots on the motherboard! I don't know why cause I'm no expert but could not find this suggestion anywhere, simple trial and error.

what if it's a HDD 4tb Barracuda that suddenly not detected? disk was in the built pc when I bought it, and suddenly not detected.

@NaDeZ I figured out the reason for my issue, it was loose SATA cable, it disconnected from the motherboard, last time I had issues I checked it, made sure all cables were connected everywhere, so I did not think it would be loose, but it somehow got disconnected. I also noticed Intel Rapid technology thing showed as on, even when it was off, to stay off, if it was disconnected, just a bug in bios I guess.

@NaDeZ So far I've had good luck with Barracuda, but someone told me Seagate have bad reputation with failures, I probably have same HDD as you on one I have a 1TB on a cheaper pc. 3TB on my previous pc.240 Force GS died, butt 3tb barracuda is still goign strong. But SSDs die faster, they have limited rewrite count.

@NaDeZ check the SATA port, try different port, cable, try the disk in different PC. also If you have external drives the letters might have changed if the D drive was disconnected, it happen to mine, G drive became D drive, So I corrected it in disk management.

I was panicing so much becose i lost alot of important stuff (not really but important to me at least) but the last one the fsc scan worcked thanks so much when it was scaning it said somthing about fixing currupted files so i guess the currupted files made this happen to me idk tho.
