There are many reasons for hard gear shifting in motorcycle, If the motorcycle is new it is normal to feel hard gearshift for first 1000 Or 1500 kilometers. New bike hard gearshift because of new gearbox metal friction,Which takes time to get set smooth. But if the bike has completed is 2000km Or more and still gear shifting hard then may be some another reason behind it, Like manufacturing defect, or clutch free play adjustment, or engine oil level, engine oil grade, engine oil viscosity, chain slack etc.

I own tvs apache RTR 160 4v spcl edition this bike is waste only run 3600km please dont buy this bike as i am using it since 1 year there are much more problem arising as bike gets old now my chain sprocket had got damaged and makng noise now i should change it only 3600km done because of that there has arisen new. Problem gear shifting problem very sound while changing gear tucking gear in traffic cant make it down shift to 1 st gear sometime it remains in neutral gear while i am changing from 1st to 2nd in traffic it is very embarrassing situation.instead of buying this shit tvs company bikes go for bajaj or honda
