Always love watching the hard-off walkthroughs! I wanna say Sailormoon S the fighter got a fan-made rebalance patch in recent years? I had heard it has quite the cult following in some FGC circles.

I was not aware of that. That makes sense now, lol.

Nice video as usual ♥ Anyway, too bad that you didn't show any of the Figures. I know you are not into em, and probably you wanted to keep this video only about retrogame, but maaaybe you could have put some shots of the Figures section at the begin or the end of the video. You was there anyway, the video would still be focused around retrogames, and I think many of your followers would be interested in em. Love your videos!

I like that rendition of one of the Ridge Racer Type 4 tracks at the start of the vid. Who did it? It was dope. You really should start linking and informing us of the sources of the music in your vids😃

I have a question: I’m embarrassed to say I don’t own any of the Castlevania games. Lately I’ve been thinking of purchasing them, but the prices in the Netherlands give me a bit of a pause (#1=$40, #2=$30, #3=$95, #4=$90). I’m planning to go to Japan next year, am I better off purchasing them over there?

Over het algemeen zijn Japanse games meestal goedkoper dan de games hier in het westen.
@MadPanicGaming3 жыл бұрын
They're usually cheaper if you don't mind loose carts, except for the first game on Famicom, the cartridge version is typically pretty expensive because it's much less common than the original disc version.
@seanm17383 жыл бұрын
In the States, most of these games would be in the glass case due to the lunatic pricing we have.

I think I went to that shop (pre pandemic). As I remember they had a few controllers on the bottom floor. It's a shame about Xbox in general in Japan. They really have great titles, but sadly there is no love in Japan. The last time I went to Yamada Denki, I remember Xbox section looking pretty sickly. I've been sticking to the local HARD OFF/used game shops. I'm looking to replace my favorite childhood nes games with Famicom versions. Fortunately most are easy to find.
@MadPanicGaming3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, thankfully the bulk of the Famicom library is abundant and pretty affordable too.

Funny thing is that the reason that Sailor Moon fighter is getting tournament is because is not good. To be more exact, the game is so broken dedicated fighting game players are finding all sort of weird interesting things you can do with it.

Jim, I have a question about shopping in Japanese stores - is it considered rude to grab the products you want off the shelves, and then carry them with you as you continue shopping? I noticed in all your videos that you don’t grab the products you want until the very end of your shopping trip. Here in the US, we grab the items we want; we continue shopping; and when we are finished, we go to the register.

Hey Jim, How Long Did It Take For You To Become Fluent In Japanese From The Point You First Started Learning Japanese? What Year Did You First Learn Japanese, And Do You Feel Very Confident Today In Speaking Fluent Japanese To Native Japanese People? I've Been To Tokyo In 2018, Right Before Covid Hit, Do You Think It Might Be A Problem In Trying To Immigrate To Japan Even Within 5 - 10yrs From Now? Also, If You Don't Mind Me Asking, How Old Are You? Are You A Fellow GenXer? How Far Back Are You In Video-Games? I've Been A Gamer Since 1977, When I Was 4yrs Old, Since Atari 2600.

So I got a question for ya: I have a Japanese PS2 and Taiko drums, along with a few games, a PS3, 2 DSes, 1 old JP 3Ds, a PS Vita, along with some Japanese games. The question is: I am going to get rid of them... where would I get the best price for the stuff, you think? A chain store like Geo, a more spectility store like a Super Potato, or just dump it off on a Hard Off/Hobby Off... unless you wanna buy um (^_-) *edit Just sent you an FB message
