Great selection in this one! That NEO-GEO stick for PS3 was a really good deal. Like half of the price of eBay listings.

Went to Homura on our trip to Japan in 2019 per your reccomendation and loaded up at those exact hobby/hard offs. Excellent selections👌

Also went to that same Hobby Off at least 3-4 times a month when I was stationed at the same AF base. It made me nostalgic and a bit sad to see it again.

Glad to see the retro games and systems aren't crazy expensive like they are in the West.

I cant wait to go back, I used to go once a year and I got hooked on filling a suitcase with retro stuff for cheap. I need to hit up this store next time I go, all the stuff in akiba got way too expensive

Thumbs up for giving Klaymen Klaymen/ The Neverhood some tme in the spotlight! That game has such great animations... and possibly my favourite soundtrack ever. This is your best gamehunting video of 2021, good range of games and nice finds. The PC Engine Gradius is absolutely a find, and 3300 yen for The Great Battle IV boxed has to be a good price! Obocchama Kun plays decently and has a pretty gross artstyle. Worth playing for the weirdness of the power ups.

Another great video, love the vibe of just walking down the streets.

Very nice selection of stuff there.

Nice Rick and Morty reference dropped in there. I always remember seeing Yokai Dochuki referred to as Tales of the Monsterpath in UK game mags back the day. Thought it sounded better than the actual translation of Shadowlands.

COVID still not being under control enough to re-open the country is killing me, I haven't been back to Japan since 2018. Seeing Jim on the JR and going into the Tokyo suburbs makes me ache to return asap.

It's strange that when I hear the snes era Capcom jingle I think of Jim now.
@cyphaborg65983 жыл бұрын
That jingle used to mean quality. (Although their RE remakes are good it's pretty much a testament to that)
@Chris-Courage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, for the same reason I hear Batman on the Genesis I think Sega Lord X, and the Sega jingle for Sonic on the master system I think Sega Head.

Must be nice to have space in the isles while you are looking for games. Some of those places you show in Tokyo are so cramped. Kiki kai kai really has gone up in price after the word got around that it is the prequel to Pocky and Rocky.

ey idk how good your japanese is yet, but it's kinda hard for me to find recommendations for japanese games other than fighting, platformers, shooters, etc. know of any good story-driven japan-only games? im lookin for some obscure cool stuff that never made it out west. could you point me to a good place to find stuff like that, if you dont plan on covering it in vids? ty
