Don't put a 26" on it you need the sidewall,it doesn't look like the car doesn't have alot of weight transfer. Soften up the rear shocks drop tire pressure down to 18 and try, but at the end of the day its going to spin somewhat no matter what

Your problem is suspension. 26” tire with 3.73 will never hook on the street, keep the 28’s. you need the front of the car to be a hair taller than the rear. The rear needs to squat a little and slow the rebound way down. Lower the tire pressure around 16-14 psi. Even than it probably won’t hook haha. You need to head to a roll race event on a prepped surface!

Personally I'm not sure what tire pressure is going to be the best, but you might want to give er a little burnsky to get the tires hot before the tests. If you did, it wasn't in the video. But Holy Crap!!! Spinning 3rd gear at 💯 is pretty impressive!!! Boat loads of torque to do that. Definitely no question that the car is fast, if you can get it to hook up on the street, definitely a mid 4s time.

Andrew, my knee repair is doing good and I have a dragy to but never used it yet. Correct me if I’m wrong, but anything under seven seconds from 60 to 130 is fast and you were spinning a ton so this is wickedly fast if you can get hooked

I don’t even try to hook up when it’s so hot out because the streets are just too slick. I live in South Florida just like you. Also, I actually just went back to the 75 mm pulley on my VMP Gen 3 because the 72 was too much torque for street driving. I want to party in second, but 72 mm (907/740) did not allow that at all. Have you considered a taller tire and less pressure? I put 50 pounds in the trunk which helped a lot, but it’s not good for the driveline so I removed it. What Intercooler pump? You know, I never even considered going to a shorter tire to hook third and just Forgetting second gear. Now you got me thinking LOL

Ay homie try switching to a 28" FRONT tire instead of the 26" you have now. Gets the nose a bit higher and helps transfer weight to the rear wheels when you punch it 😉
@screamineaton27964 жыл бұрын
Andrew, I would not go down to the 26” tire. If you try it you’ll see it’s simply not enough tire for the power your making and the weight of the car. I’m assuming your on a 10wide wheel I’d try stepping up to the 315/60 Mickey Pro. It will have more tread to the pavement and kill off some of the gear in 2nd to help it hook while supporting the weight of the car better. 325/50 R would be another good choice more contact patch and relatively close to the 28” height. Just my 2cents. Good luck Edit: Plus one for finding a concrete road to test.

I would put a 325/50 on the back this same tire you have now. I believe you're running 275 or maybe 295 I believe 275...that is 2 inches more rubber on the road on both sides and on the street that makes a HUGE difference. I think it just needs more tire on the road as in wider. I def wouldnt go 26 inch either the 325/50 et street r is 28.3 that is perfect imo. This is the power level where you actually need 325 on the back and it isnt mostly for looks like the 700-800 rwhp power level guys

@midnight347 Жыл бұрын
@@negativesplits06 its not excuses bro it's facts. Some people just don't get how much spinning fucks up your momentum and your time which is why he's explaining it. People judge it against other similar powered cars that are putting the power down it's not a good comparison. They need to realize just how much quicker it would be if it was sticking. It doesn't need a different tuner or more power it has so much it can't put it down now. It needed a different suspension and tire setup and stuff that helps weight balance and transfer. People suggesting a tuner change when the issues are traction related is ridiculous at best lol. Gt500s are primitive tuning wise compared to coyotes you don't need some kind of special sauce to tune them. The issue here was traction it's very obvious but to still go mid 5s with a stick with traction issues is pretty fn amazing. Anyone who knows anything would know that but I guess it's easier to just hate.

That is how it works it records 60-130 and if you get momentum up before 60 it can show better but that depends on traction some cars cant start much below 60 because of traction. To me it's just like at the strip having a tire setup that'll hook will drastically lower times so theres no reason you shouldn't receive a benefit of traction in this test as well...traction is just part of it...if someone else wants the same advantage he had they should start below 60

I miss that car so much, I had 91 silver fox hatch and a 93 lx notch back( trunk car) which was depending on how the sun was, it looked like a dark red but if the sun was rising or setting it looked tangerine or bright orange.
