It doesn’t have to do with the room. If you book with a travel agent or the resort, you will have yellow. If you book with an Hall of Fame like me, you will have VIP blue.

Hi, I just booked this hotel. Do you know anything about the Rock Suite ocean view? Where it is located? There are 6 of us in this two bedroom. I can cancel with no penalties so please be honest. If the hotel is dated like you said, then maybe not worth the money?

Hello, I was there again in 2021. Yes, the rooms are dated, but the rest of the hotel is great if you have Rock Royalty or VIP access. Rock Suite are on the 11th and 12th floor and has an amazing view. The service is great and they really have a good protocol for COVID. Would you recommend I buy excursions at the hotel ? I usually do and pay all ahead of time . I like Expedia for that . But if is the same , money wise , I would like your opinion . Thanks

Hello Patricia. As a Hall of Fame, I use my resort credits, so I don't buy excursions with money. It would be the same with my guests. For Expedia, I don't know their prices or what would happen if the excursion is cancelled because of COVID restrictions. Personally, I avoid Expedia because it is only an agency and one more step when I need to fix a problem. Qatar Airways announced that IF you can't use your ticket because of COIVD, they will refund you. Expedia refused to do it with people that booked Qatar tickets on their platform. I never bought excursions at Hard Rock or Palace since they have resort credits. Let me email my butler and see. I'll revert to you.

Well, yes and no. Here is what I would consider. 1. Is your sister's membership VIP or more? If not, you wouldn't have benefits 2. Is her member price the same or cheaper than what you have bought? 3. Can you cancel your vacation and get your airfare without a penalty? If all is better, cancel and book with her. If not, just go with what you have or try to pay for an upgrade. I hope that helps.

Is this a good spot if I’ve never ever been to Cancun and going solo?

Of all the Hard Rock, if I had to go solo to one, it would be Hard Rock Cancun. The 3rd-floor is great to meet people during the day (VIP only). You can take the bus to go to all sorts of bars, lounges, shops and activities. In the resort, there are bars and lounges inside and outside as well. And the main pool has activities all day. You wouldn't be bored for sure. The only "problem", like with every all inclusive resorts, is that when you travel solo is that the price of the room is the same if you were two in the room.

At the moment, they are at 30 %. But, that's because Canadian are not allowed to travel and because it is the low season. Apparently, they don't have a minimum.

How to you get the hall of fame do you buy it

Hello, to become Hall of Fame, you need to travel to the resort and go to a membership presentation. The prices and offers are quite good at the moment. Entry into Hall of Fame level is about 220,000 USD and it will give you a lot of "free weeks" for you to enjoy at the same time.

No, I was there before COVID, but nothing really changed as far as what I have shown. They are of course taken a lot more precautions and the resort is less crowned.

Feel like when I went last October I booked rock royalty and there was yellow bands and all colors on the rock royalty floor there’s nobody there to stop them just a sliding door rock royalty and hall fame just better for if you don’t want to be bothered butler makes everything way easier for you

Like anything, with laws or people to reinforce the rules there will be chaos. Often on the Island people need to be told to go away. That's just human nature.

I’m disappointed with this resort. I was told that the Cancun one is considered “the ugly duckling” of all of their resorts. It’s small and dated. Rooms smells stuffy. They don’t have coffee bar or snack area.
