@batmanwins57016 ай бұрын
@@Junklogic Well I guess that is a matter of taste. George Carlin was really fond of word play and examining linguistics in his comedy, I'm a person who finds it enjoyable to avidly read and write. That sort of humor is right in my wheelhouse. Art is inherently subjective though so there are probably comedians that you find funny which I wouldn't enjoy. C'est la vie.

I like the show for the most part, but sometimes they def go too far. Messing with a chick who had a miscarriage or fat shaming a girl so hard she runs off stage in tears is too far imo. You can roast and fuck with people without completely tearing them down
@tomimpala4 ай бұрын
you wanna give people good advice while shattering their ego for a while, this show can just be awful with Tony - guests are the only reason to tune in
@hybridflowers51145 ай бұрын
It mind boggles me that you guys are surprised he black listed a guy who admitted to chasing a bag of coke around the city instead of practicing the stand up act he was supposed to do at that moment lol. I wouldve blacklisted his ass too. I completely agreed with tony that time.

these are some of the best moments. it's so funny when Tony is just going off or irritated. most notably when people say they met him once and terribly describe the moment and Tony either doesn't remember, pretends not to, or it never happened.

I agree with 100% of what you said. Also we should remember that Tony probably has a disturbed mind born from a traumatic upbringing, and sometimes his demons get the best of him, although he is a good person most times.
@xXDimistreoXx9 ай бұрын
I say completely fair game and thats what they signed up for. It also blows me away how people just volunteer the most embarrassing personal information, or go up without some kind of strategy as if theyve never seen the show before. You have the opportunity to plan ahead which, if you know how big the show is, you should definitely do. If Tony asks you something youre not comfortable with JUST FUCKING LIE, HOW HARD IS IT TO LIE?!?! The interview is about being likable and funny, it's not a fucking therapy session or a job interview. Being honest obviously can help but you should know that anything you bring up youre going to potentially be roasted on. That being said I definitely would love more constructive criticism, which I think should be the guest's main job because obv it would be awkward for Tony to switch from roasting to constructive criticism. The whole point of the show since its inception has been brutally roasting amateur comedians who dare set foot on a stage, thats why I didnt like it the first time I watched it but have since grown to love it MU HA HA HA HA

What you said about volunteering embarrassing info I totally I agree. Unless they want use it to add value to their set. Just save it.
