If that's a lake, then the river here is an ocean 😂 but great work always wanted a pond or lake next to my house

It's a swimming pool, but you have to keep it flowing. In the 1950s they were everywhere in rural America, built earlier in the century. Good work.

Stones are the worst thing you can use to make a pond. They trap waste, trash, debris, algae.... they make cleaning a nightmare. Nobody who makes a pond does this, unless you want to be draining it several times a year for cleaning.

That is a lot of back breaking work but it looks like it is worth it! Very well planned out and implemented. I hope you will share a small video to show what it looks like a year later to see how the bushes plants grow. I don’t know what your climate is like, could you put in water plants and some type of fish or is this for swimming?

Actually it looks like a lot of back breaking work incorrectly building a retaining wall that will fail...pretty soon.
@richardchurch97093 жыл бұрын
@@dLimboStick The retaining wall, angled as it is, with approximately 2 metres of compressed earth bund outside it looks more than sufficient to me. The water level at the highest point is actually below ground level running to a gradually descending main drainage ditch.

after just a short time of watching this video. i realized something. you are on a riverbed's flood zone. . I can see flooding totally destroying that work
@YouRich923 жыл бұрын
There is a genuine risk of the wall being undermined. This plus the water pouring between the stones when they start filling the pond at 26:16 doesn't look encouraging. That cause a threat to the house nearby.
