Gorgeous! It would be great if you would include the dimensions of the main body of the ponds in the description so we have a better understanding....I'm personally interested in knowing the w/l/depth and the difference between the dugout dimensions vs. the interior dimensions once the rocks are in to better grasp how much room there is to swim, or for fish if it's not a recreation pond.

Platies and Swordtails are a great choice for a pond like this as they'll reproduce readily and help keep algae at bay. In aquariums, they are known to be great algae eaters. What waste they do produce will just get sucked up by the plants.

More of problem anywhere north of the New South Wales border (about 10 hours north of Sydney) as the weather is more humid up there. Certain fish do a great job keeping them at bay. However, as there are commonly rivers and lakes nearby, mosquitos are a problem, especially with big downpours like the one described in the video.

@@baileymcdouble2963About the same situation here too. So much rain there are mosquitos everywhere. The other issue we have here is that I'd have to put up an 2 meter fence (with the bottom secured) around that swimming hole or else I'd come out one morning and find a gator in it!

This is gorgeous ... but how the hell did they get approval without a fence around it? I neeeeeeed to know! Here in Aus you have to have a fence around the pool (seperate to the back door), and it is the bane of many architectural design!
