I love when Keanu is telling him you go out and there and do what you feel and G Baby is like Okay in kind of like a “okay dad/coach” type of way. He felt that love for his coach, and his coach did too, you can see and feel it! Such a great movie!

As a white kid that grew up on the north side I couldn’t relate to their struggles, I could relate to their love for baseball and their caring coach though. This movie still makes me cry. I became an addict and spent a lot of time wandering through the projects to get my fix. I always remembered how easy it was for even a little kid like G baby to get killed and that fear eventually lead to me getting help. This story helped me whilst getting clean too. I remember going into this movie excited because I love baseball and I love Keanu But what I did not expect was the emotional roller coaster that this film would send me on. I am admittedly not someone who cries very easily but this whole funeral got me... His death seen got me too but I was so stunned that I just couldn't process it and kept wishing that they would flash to the hospital and he would be alive because they were able to bring him back but maybe that he couldn't play again So when they flash through the empty ballpark in the empty school and his apartment and then cut two the church I just lost it.
