“The best in what he does” - and what is that exactly? He seems to be the only guy that does these one man army movies consistently. The industry as a whole doesn’t do them well at all anymore. If you compare today’s examples against your Die Hards and Rambos (which hold up 30 years on), the gulf in quality is massive. There are examples of recent actors/movies that have done them far better than Statham. Neeson in Taken, Denzel in The Equaliser, Cruise in Jack Reacher. Statham is a bad actor in bad movies
