I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hears this
@MeowtroidPrime14 жыл бұрын
wow, this sounds beautiful, i kind of like the almost blatant use of the Prelude from the final fantasy series in the background~ definitely gives imagery to its title

Fun fact: 1:50 is a 4-1-3 chord progression
@Ephelle13 жыл бұрын
0:16 definitely reminds me of Final Fantasy 8. 0:32 is almost definitely a reference to the Prelude. And people, there's a difference between a reference or homage and a blatant rip-off. If you didn't notice, a LOT of Homestuck music has references to game music in them. It's part of what makes them awesome.

@CSDragon31 Let's say it's both? I don't know Tales music, but I know those Final Fantasy Prelude scales any way they can be played thanks to a marching band show.

What's the difference between this and sunrise from the one year older album? I honestly can't tell and it's bothering me :/
@cognitiveAfflatus8 жыл бұрын
Katie Witsberger Sunrise is probably more revised, while this is just an earlier version.
@Type3Diabeto5 жыл бұрын
@@cognitiveAfflatus This has a lot more of the melody. Sunrise only samples from this. To me Light feels more like an actual song

it's just repeated g6 -> c arpeggios; just because it vaguely resembles final fantasy music doesn't mean it's anything even close to a "blatant" copy. i'm sorry; i just really dislike final fantasy music due to the disproportionate amount it's brought up compared to its quality. nobuo uematsu is really no great shakes as a composer compared to, say, yasunori mitsuda.
