If you're not careful, her abilities will affect your CPU as well. Remember to set her energy color to black if your device is prone to explosions. I have a bit of a different Ember build. I forget the exact mods, but I have 0 forma on her. No health or armor mods, since I find myself getting 1-shot through them anyway. Max efficiency and slightly below average strength, but her passive more than makes up for it. Low duration, since it only affects her R, and good range. I use Adaptation + Augur mods for survivability, and Exothermic over Hunter Adrenaline for energy. Subsumed Firewalker because it fits so well with her theme and passive, and protects me from status. I can get through most steel path missions without any weapon if I want, but Phantasma and Ignis Wraith are great options.

She's pretty flexible, which was another surprise when I got into testing stuff. I can see how your build works just as well as what I went with, as I was considering everything you mentioned during my process. I didn't choose what I did because it was clearly "better", but just because I enjoyed the play style and... well, you have to pick something.

I love the new Ember rework. Lots of people always used to shit on Ember because of her low damage potential, as she was misunderstood as a damage focused warframe. She was always a good CC frame if you built for her firestorm augment, which would knock down everything around her, but now she needs no augments at all to do it. And she strips armor. Combined with her armor buffs and her ability augments can turn her into a hybrid support frame too.

Recently found your channel, this really makes me want to full dive into my gameplay now. I got up to MR13 or 14 on Xbox back before the Relics were a thing. Lost that account, got back up to MR12 again on another Xbox account, then quit (before they added new stuff.) Now here I am on PC, MR 12 again wishing I could've kept my progress. I tried this build out but instead of the gladiator health mod i put adaptation for more survivalability and instead of the sly vulp i used the panzer vulp so that the heavy atk pennant does more DOT dmg. Lets just say that there were alot of bodies that day

Great video, great content. I just unlocked helminth and put Breach Surge on her snice it was the first thing I offered to helminth. I really like the blindness and the interaction with heat procs from inferno. Also as an older player with less twitch response I appreciate the auto target acquisition. Anything tough gets heavy attacked and I am still building my heavy attack melee setup. Also ember is now my standard defense/survival relic cracker since I just wait for stuff to get corrupted then do the breach surge/inferno combo to gather reactant. Not that relic cracking is hard at all but it is nice to do while leveling after forma. Also I recently learned that if you have excess points to deal with mod drain on your build that give you extra energy on spawn. So I will likely over forma her to give me spare points. I don't plan on running other builds for her at all and if I do I will get a second ember.

I dig it. Breach Surge works really well with Ember, since it's constantly updating and getting heat procs, which cause even more damage over time.

Well put out Gladiator Might and switch it for Umbral Intensify -> More HP (+220% instead of just 190%) + 77% Str + 55% more Armor! So overall a better choice than bit more Blood rush effect. Just need to forma for streamline and power drift, putting out D polarity and intensify fits without another umbral forma :P

Instead of Gladiator Resolve and Power Drift using Umbral Strength might be a better solution for more power strength, armor and health via the Umbra set boni. Yes, it is around 100 hitpoints less, but around 30 Armor and 52 power strength more. Also using Cunning Drift gives some more Range resulting in 160 Range, which provides some more reach for the CC and armor strip. Tho this build will be 3 normal and 2 Umbra Forma. Also, instead of Streamline it might be useful to slot an Augment there, like either Ember's Augment Exothermic for better energy sustain (coupled with Arcane Energize) or whatever useful Augment might be available for an subsumed Helminth ability. Anyways, amazing video again!

@@RossKyle95 The thing is, I don't actually want a ton of eHP from armor and resistances. I tested with Adaptation (it's in the game footage, actually) and it was TOO GOOD. It slowed the rate of incoming damage too much, and made Hunter Adrenaline less effective. I was also thinking of using an unranked Umbral Fiber, but the fully ranked one felt like a good sweet spot in my runs.

@@RossKyle95 You're correct. It was mostly about bumping up Vitality for more direct HP, which is why I considered using an unranked Fiber. She just felt too squishy without it though, but I admittedly didn't get to do as many runs as I would have liked. Intesify isn't bad either, but I was always hovering around 100% bonus from her passive, so I felt like there was a bit more value from Fiber.

In the gameplay that you had in the background you were using adaptation, but adaptation wasn't in the final build. What made you decide to not use it in the build you were showing? Another question I had was would exothermic be as effective for gaining energy as hunter adrenaline?

Adaptation was removed probably because he realised that it wasn't as necessary since you already have her 2nd, add on the ability to instantly heal, more tankiness isn't needed since if you do get in a tough spot, press 3, heavy melee an enemy and then press 4 to kill them all.

Good catch! I actually found Adaptation to be TOO GOOD in my testing, and it slowed down the effectiveness of Hunter Adrenaline. If I were doing content where I expected a ton of kills rather than a ton of incoming damage, I'd go with Exothermic. But with Steel Path survival, I found it much easier to rely on Hunter Adrenaline.

nice video as always, i changed the melee for a red crit zaw with contagion and with ensnare i delete the acolytes in 3 hits plus a nice room cleaning but the beauty of warframe is that all builds are viable. is good to see your channel growing keep the good work.

Wouldn't it be technically better to use Umbral Intensify rather than Gladiator resolve? I mean, it would be *way* more expensive in the cost of an extra Umbra Forma and an extra regular Forma, but in turn, it would finish the umbral set bonus, giving 220% Health, 55% armor, and, of course, 77% ability strength. I get that ability strength isn't the most important thing for this build, but the health increase is more than Gladiator Resolve. Plus, this would put you above the threshold needed for Immolation. This would free up the exilus slot for something like Primed Surefooted if you want the knock down resist, Cunning Drift if you want range, Endurance Drift if you want a touch more energy storage when getting hit with bursts of damage, or really anything else you could want. Even no Exlius mod if you want to save on a Forma. Since both a Forma and an Umbra Forma would be needed if you want *something* in the Exilus slot, even a Primed Surefooted would work there! Furthermore, with the added ability strength, you could both drop Power Drift and replace Stretch with Overextended, and still have enough Strength for max Immolation while getting even more range and some extra flexibility to the build. Though, if you would want both Primed Surefooted AND Overextended, you'd need two extra Forma on top of the extra Umbral Forma, but, this would still be a better mod, costs not withstanding. Unless I have misunderstood something!

"Better" depends on your perspective and context. If you have the Umbra Forma and don't mind using it on Ember, then yeah go for it. If you don't have one to spare, you can still get the job done and then some. But I always encourage people to tweak builds (anyone's build, not just mine) to suit their personal play style and needs.

Ember's 4 could be making everyone else's game boring, but I just can't stop using it. MR26 here, I've discovered Ember about 6 months ago, and I'm having real trouble to go back to other frames now. For the people watching, please notice that this is a SP build. For the rest of the game you'll want to be using her augment mod Exothermic.

Yes, its certainly possible, however I believe it might have been like this because having 5 forma heavily decreases how much flexibility you have for the mods. For example, some people might prefer to have a bit of extra range in the exilus rather than strength for something like defense missions. Or you could perhaps want to use her damage reduction augment for a friend over range in situations where it might not be needed as much.

Sure, you can do that. Hussain did a good job explaining what the down side is, so just be sure you're comfortable with the full mod setup first, or you may end up needing an additional Forma to change a polarity twice.

"Better" depends on what you're trying to achieve. Adaptation gives too much DR and slows down the energy gain through Hunter Adrenaline. Umbral Fiber boosts the HP of Umbral Vitality, thus giving more raw health to burn through for that energy return.
